Whoever said, "No great story started with I was eating a salad" was so wrong, I tell you.
Sweetgreen! I met sweetgreen and it was love at first sight. Like from the moment I set my eyes on those Beautiful veggies, I knew we would be together forever.
And so my dreams came true. A truly awesome super healthy, only salad option restaurant has opened in NYC and unlike Just Salad and Fresh n Co, Sweetgreen literally does make dreams come true. Starting with the amazing app they have so I can make orders online, pay with the app, get rewards and more.
I love this location as of course it's near work but also it's massive and super clean. I usually order on the app and just run in to grab my salad. (They leave it on a bar thing and you can just go pick it up without having to ask for it). The employees are mostly friendly and funny with the off chance of that one bad mood employee who ruins it for all but I'm not going to fault them with a lesser star value. Sweetgreen is definitely 5* quality.
I create my own salads as I'm really picky and can I just tell you, their veggies are so damn good. I.e. the brussel sprouts, the spicy broccoli, the chickpeas, the roasted peppers. I can go on. I scrape my salad bowl down to the last bite.
Their ice teas (0 cal) are also absolutely fabulous. I'm a fan of the chamomile mint tea. For the service they provide, the price is rather reasonable and so worth it.
I've found a new love and we'll be together forever. (At least until the...
Read moreJust Salad came in hot but their momentum has slowed down. I noticed their customer service is pretty inconsistent - sometimes they’ll be on it…other times you’re standing there for a while before anyone even looks your way. And they still ignore you. I get it but also I do not. Esp when they ask for a tip at the checkout. It would just be nice to be told what’s up and that someone will help you which is just bare minimum. I’m sure they are over worked and under paid. As for the actual food…I noticed they have cut down on the quality of the chicken and faux chicken. It looks super dry and often is when I order it. It keeps getting smaller and smaller too. The last thing I’ll say is that I have never not been here ( I used to go twice a week ) and they didn’t forget a topping. Every-time. Which realistically fine. But often I do miss it and I did pay for it. So that’s annoying. Anyways…it’s worth a try but not worth $13-$15 for a salad that’s meh. Also sweet green is trash so this is a decent...
Read moreThey must be putting some addictive substance in the salad, because they aren't THAT amazing, yet I keep coming back... If everything was organic I would say it is fairly priced, however considering most things aren't it's a bit pricey for "fast food". And $2 for half an avocado... just stop. You could if you were so inclined, get a much better salad from a local restaurant, Williamsburg has no shortage of great food! The food is always fresh, and fully customizable, but be careful, it's way to easy to spend $20 on a hastily tossed line made salad! That being said, it's tasty, and sometimes I crave the kale ceasar or salami and pickled veg seasonal salad. Sometimes the falafel is dry, chicken has little flavor, salmon is meh at best. I'd avoid it. They have 2 bathrooms dad, but you need acode. Free ice water, and bread. Most o get the staff is friendly, but if you go for lunch, expect a long line. Also, they are CASH FREE. CC or pay with your phone. They have a rewards program, you have to download the...
