We ordered burritos from this place and really enjoyed it so we decided to head there a couple of weeks later to dine-in since it’s around the corner from our apartment. It’s a very cute spot and they even have a nice backyard patio.
My partner ordered the “chicken sausage” quesadilla and when he bit into it he immediately felt like it wasn’t chicken. He opened up the quesadilla to take a look at the meat and it was pretty much a chopped up hot dog. He asked the waiter if he could clarify if it was in fact chicken sausage and he said he would take it back to the chicken to double check(red flag). He then brought the plate back out along with the menu and proceeded to say that it was chicken and pork (basically what most hot dogs are made of) then pointed to the menu. My partner told him the menu only says “chicken sausage” and the waiter proceeded to tell us that we should have known. The menu had no indication that this option was a chicken and pork mixture because chicken sausage does exist. The waiter pretty much had a nonchalant attitude and was like there was nothing he could do and my partner would pretty much have to deal with it. Once my partner requested to speak to a manager they then went back and made a grilled chicken burrito. My partner was highly disappointed as even with the change the dish was horrible.
I ordered the fried fish taco and shrimp burrito. The fish taco wasn’t bad but the shrimp burrito wasn’t that great, solely ate it because I was starving.
My partner did enjoy the strawberry margarita and I had a classic mojito which I was not very impressed with. It was a pretty terrible dining experience.
When the waiter came by to ask how everything was and we told them… they pretty much said “sorry to hear.”
To top it off, once home I started feeling really sick. Constant vomiting and diarrhea.
We truly thought it would be in our Rolodex of nearby places to dine since we had a good experience with the take out but honestly I’ll probably never...
Read moreOrdered a Torta de Res (steak strip sandwich) for pick-up, 12.50 + taxed twice ~$14 and change.
Steak was entirely cold and hard, i had to grab the meat right at my tooth to pull and it was still tough. Grinding my teeth wasn't doing it.
Bread was never toasted which is why the tomato juice made the bread mushy sliding off my fingers adding to making it hard to eat
A small consideration. It would of been dope to have it cut in the middle before receiving it. Not a big deal but a common courtesy.
Sales tax was added twice
My takeaway: I regret not having gotten a much better sandwich at the Deli round the block for half the price.

Thank you for the response. I went today for a Gordita de chicharon. I'll hand it to you, the tortilla was pleasantly crisp. The cashier listed the ingredients in case i wanted to omit any and I omitted the crema, but he also took out the guacamole. I didnt feel or taste the chicharon at all so I opened it up and moved the vegetables around for a little and then I noticed there were small spots here and there of paper thin shredded chicharon. It was about $6 total so i wouldn't expect a whole line of chicharon or anything, but i would of appreciated at least one bite where i would of been able to taste or feel it. The place is just not for me. Thanks for the...
Read moreMy fried fish taco wasn’t bad. The fish itself was nice and crispy but the flour tortilla was dry and too thick; it could’ve used a nice sear on it. The pork belly taco on the other hand, was disgusting. It had a funny smell, look and texture and upset my stomach, so I didn’t finish it and threw it out. The crispy fish burrito was fine but I’ve had better. My favorite thing was actually the side of chips and guacamole it came with. My pork tamale had good flavor but was too thick and dry and they were very stingy on the pork, there was barely any pork in it. The ratio to corn masa dough was way off. My frozen strawberry lemonade was good. It tasted refreshing and healthy without tasting overly sweet or artificial. The hortacha was alright but didn’t taste super authentic and had an overpowering flavor that was a little odd. I liked the churros but would’ve preferred if the sauce was on the side as opposed to drizzled directly on the churros. I also didn’t understand why the churros had sprinkles. That was unnecessary and inauthentic. This felt like one of those gentrified restaurants whose typical customer doesn’t know real Mexican food. I don’t think I’d try this place again. I only ordered from here because I was feeling for Mexican and my favorite spot is far and no longer delivers to my neighborhood. Would I recommend...
