I came here on a Friday night with a friend, and when we arrived around 7PM, it was empty aside from three tables. I arrived before my friend and since it was raining, I went inside first to get a seat and was asked whether my friend is coming. I'm not sure whether I got asked because they wouldn't seat me otherwise even though the restaurant was basically empty, or they just wanted to make sure we were a party of 2 even though I said table for 2, or something else. Anyway, we ended up ordering the summer rolls, fried tofu, seafood tom yum noodle soup with flat rice noodles, and drunken noodle with chicken. The summer rolls were fresh and big, but definitely lacking in shrimp. There also wasn't enough sauce. The fried tofu was quite light and the tofu inside was quite empty. The tom yum noodle soup was very flavorful and I liked it, but the flat rice noodles weren't soft. On top of that, they told me when I ordered that I'd be charged $1 for changing noodles, which I think isn't very fair when the noodles aren't better. Also, for the restaurant, is changing noodles that big of a deal? Why charge a measly $1 for it, it put a sour taste in my mouth and that's a loss for the restaurant to lose customers over $1. Anyway, there was a good deal of squid and shrimp, but not much else. I wish there were mushrooms or tomatoes as tom yum soup usually has. The drunken noodles were tasty though as it very flavorful, and noodles were cooked correctly and chewy. Portions were acceptable as were prices, and they kept filling up our waters. Not a fan of the noodle change upcharge nor the flat rice...

As someone who treasures the weekly dinner ritual with my 6-year-old daughter, finding a restaurant that caters to both our tastes and needs is like striking gold. Thailicious, nestled on Clinton Street, has become our latest discovery and an instant favorite after our usual spot was unexpectedly closed. It's not just a meal; it's a precious moment that allows us to catch up and cherish our time together, distraction-free.

The ambiance of Thailicious is welcoming and warm, making it the perfect backdrop for our special dinners. The restaurant prides itself on a menu that's as diverse as it is delicious, a crucial factor for us. I lean towards vegetarian options with a penchant for spice, while my daughter's palate favors shrimp, albeit with a milder kick. Thailicious has gracefully accommodated our distinct preferences, ensuring a great meal for both of us. My daughter loves their pineapple fried rice!

What sets Thailicious apart, however, is not just its food but the exceptional service. Our server, who has now become a familiar face, goes above and beyond the call of duty. In an extraordinary display of kindness and patience, she assists my daughter with her Chinese homework. Learning a new language is a formidable task, and her encouragement and support have been invaluable. It's a testament to the warm and nurturing environment Thailicious fosters, making every visit a good time.

We've now made Thailicious our go-to spot, returning three weeks in a row. It's a gem on Clinton Street that not only fills our stomachs but our...

Wow what an experience, I had the most incredible time at Thailicious in NYC! From the moment we rang the bell to get in, we knew that we were in for a treat.

As we approached the restaurant, I called ahead to let them know we were on our way. When we arrived, Jan was waiting for us and greeted us with a big smile and a warm welcome to the restaurant. It was such a lovely introduction, and I felt like I was about to have a truly special dining experience.

Once we were seated, the ambiance of the restaurant was just perfect. The lighting was warm and inviting, and the decor had a beautiful modern Thai flair. It was clear that a lot of attention had been paid to the details, and it really added to the overall experience.

And then, of course, there was the food! The menu had so many delicious-sounding options that it was hard to choose. In the end, we went with Jan's recommendations, and we were so glad we did. Everything we tried was bursting with flavor and made with such care and attention to detail.

We had the Crispy Pot Stickers, Curry Puff's, Tom Yum Lemongrass Shrimp, Yaowarat Duck Noodle Soup, Classic Fried Rice, Tom Yum Fried Rice and the Mango with Coconut Sticky Rice for desert, and it was all just so delicious. Words can't express the feeling the foods taste gives you.

Overall, I would highly recommend Thailicious to anyone looking for a truly special dining experience in NYC. From the warm welcome we received from Jan to the incredible food, everything was just perfect. I can't...

I've been to Thailicious four times now, and without a doubt, it stands out as the best Thai restaurant in Manhattan. Jay, the owner, along with her husband Ken and sister Jan, has created an exceptional dining experience from the moment you step in. Their warmth, attentiveness, and friendliness set the stage for numerous memorable visits. The ambiance is relaxed, featuring lively music and adorned with captivating Thai artwork. The menu is diverse, offering both traditional Thai dishes and inventive twists on classics. Regular updates to their specials menu consistently deliver delightful surprises. For starters, the Papaya Salad and Mr. Roti are personal favorites. The Papaya Salad bursts with freshness, while the Mr. Roti, a shareable plate with delectable Roti and coconut curry, is a standout. Moving on to main courses, the Tom Yum fried rice and Green Curry are my top choices. I prefer my food extra spicy, and the additional kick complements these dishes perfectly. The variety of protein options allows for delightful customization. Cap off the meal with their irresistible mango/banana sticky rice for dessert—a definite must-try. In summary, Thailicious earns my unequivocal praise. Discovering this gem has made it my preferred Thai food spot in NYC. Despite residing on the Upper East Side, I happily commute on the Q and F trains for a satisfying meal. If you're in search of authentic Thai cuisine crafted by exceptional people in a fantastic setting, Thailicious is the destination of choice.

stopped here for a Thai iced to go, a couple weeks ago. the entrance is locked even when Thailicious is open and you have to ring the bell for them to open it— super weird. there are tables set up outside for sidewalk seating. peered through the window and i saw some people eating inside. the windows are to dark to see what the setup is…also weird. anyway i ring the door. a worker answers and i tell them that i want to order a Thai iced tea. instead of letting me in, they close & lock the door, and go to make the Thai iced tea. several minutes later, a worker hands me the drink, i give her cash for the drink + tip, and the door is closed and locked, again. as i head down the street i look at the drink and about 3/4 of the cup is filled with ice. the drink tasted okay…it was mostly ice that i paid for—as opposed to tea. lame. the service is kinda curt and lacks personality. i would not recommend dining here bc of the odd situation with the restaurant locking the door while it is open.
