I had checked them out a few times, walking by on my break. I was so excited to get my nails done because it had been years since i last had them done!! Went after work and was taken immediately after walking in, which was great. She turned on my massage chair, and it was good so far. I know I seemed odd because I was just grateful to be finally getting my nails done, lol... so I was super polite and appreciative ..."yes please," "Thank you, and so on. She was very intense with the filing and drill. My nails burned (both during pedicure and manicure)....I didn't say anything but involuntarily flinched due to pain... but she kept on, so I had to say that it hurts. The manicure was fine. I had no complaints except the pain .. Oh, and while I was drying my nails, my right hand started itching, so I used hand sanitizer since I didn't have access to alcohol. Fast forward to after I've paid (paying was crazy too, will explain) and noticed some issues with my nails. Another customer (she was an older lady, regular customer) and I had similar issues. Paying: My service was a regular manicure and pedicure. That was $32 (great price). I didn't have enough cash, so I intended to pay with my card. Boss lady told me to go next door to the ATM. I really preferred not to do that. She happened to be telling another customer about their Venmo a while later, so I decided to do that. She added on an additional 3 dollars for paying with venmo, then told me to send a 5 dollar tip...yes, told me. I was, of course, planning to tip and didn't need that reminder. However, this is how it went .I had cash for the tip, but whatever. I send 40, and she goes off saying i owe them, I'm like, ma'am, calm down. Here's a dollar. Apparently, i was supposed to send 41 and not 40. At this point I'm now seeing the issues. The polish has settled so you can really see everything and both big toes look bad and cuticles are everywhere. I show the boss lady my nails and she says, Go back to the person that took care of you, in a very rude manner. I go back to the pedicure area, and the older lady and I are talking and comparing issues. Eventually, her nail technician removes her polish, and as she's about to apply the top coat, we realize that may have been the issue, so she opens a new bottle. I walk over to my tech to tell her what the boss lady said. It went so downhill from there. The woman threw a real-life tantrum. There is no other description for an adult bopping up and down with arms flying denying that anything is wrong with the nails. She did this whole scene two more times. The other customers had to get involved because I refused to argue. She has eyes just like me, and everyone could see it but her. Her solution was to add a third coat of polish rather than redo it. I let it all play out because I'm not the professional. She is. It looked terrible...it was wavy because the nail below wasn't smooth, and a large piece of cuticle was there and painted over. She took that cuticle off and was forced to remove the polish because now there was a hole in the polish smh. Her Karma was that the 3 new customers that the boss lady had ushered in earlier refused to let her do their nails because they saw 1. Her work 2. Her refusal to acknowledge something was wrong and fix it, and 3. How she behaved. Just know I left with bumpy nails and the knowledge that I wasn't ever going back.

Honestly I hate leaving bad reviews but I literally left with not only nails that just don’t look nice (see the texture, thickness, shaping and remaining powder) but I was in so much pain. All but maybe one or two of my fingers were bleeding and stingy (see photo, my hands were completely raw). They also had to remove my gelx which took over an hour and they ripped my thumb nail down to the skin and didn’t really even do anything to stop the bleeding. They were even trying to get me to then pay for extension tips since they ripped my nails so short but I told them i shouldn’t have to pay for that since my nails were long and healthy when I came in. That and they didn’t have the color I wanted even though it was one of the options they showed and then the color I chose looked different on the sample vs how it looked in the end. I was going for a fall burnt orange and got a bright traffic cone orange. In the end it was 2+ hrs and I was exhausted to I just said it was fine so I could leave. So sad bc this place had so many and such high reviews I really thought I’d be fine. If you want dip powder I’d go somewhere else.

After posting this I see SO MANY dangerous 1 star ratings!! Must read them! Women with the same experience and worse! Forced 5 star reviews for nails that peel 3 days later! Lazy, dirty practice. Did not clean, prep or even file my nails/ nail beds/ cuticles. Drilled everything. Didn't clean underneath my nail, so all of the extra acrylic (again bad practice) is gathered under my nails and holding tons of dirt. Some nails had extra acrylic on top of my nail bed skin, over growing. Terrible terrible customer service. The lady refused to go as short as I wanted to go with acrylic, refused. After this, she didn't want to let me see any gel colors and tried to convince me $50 French tip was better and cheaper (for $5 more I had no problem looking for the color I WANTED! SHORT!) The nails grew bubbles and this is how they are cracking around my nail beds 5 days later. Photos immediately after the visit will look great, but after 24 hours the nails match the dirty location and experience! I pay the same price ($55) at my usual salon in Williamsburg. Not sure WHY they have misleading 5 stars.

I came here once for a fill in. I didn’t love it but I saw some colors I wanted to try. I went back and figured I’d try someone else. When I called they said it was okay for me to come at 7:30, they close at 8. Joanna took her time doing my nails and I loved it. My low rating is due to this interaction with a ELDERLY PERSON. I went a 3rd time to see now Joanna for my 2nd time. A elderly woman comes in and says she wants JOANNA to do her nails. Another employee tells her to wait and JENNY would be there. The customer continues to insist that she wants JOANNA. Joanna didn’t respond to the woman and ignored her. The employee calls JENNY on the phone to inform her then tells the older woman to sit next to me (as I’m getting mine done) and JOANNA would see her next. JENNY walks in and reaches over to grab the older woman’s hands to begin! The older woman pulled away and said ā€œno, I want Joanna.ā€ Jenny QUESTIONS the lady as to why and insists on doing her nails! The older woman said ā€œI want Joanna or I’ll just leaveā€. MIND YOU THIS WOMAN IS VERY ELDERLY AND WITH A NURSE! JENNY responds ā€œwell you can leave.ā€ Why is a customer unable to get serviced by WHO THEY PREFER? Plus this is a ELDERLY woman probably 80+!!! I was disgusted witnessing this. I realized that JENNY must be the owner and whatever politics/ego stuff may have caused JOANNA do not want to be apart of. Either way as a BUSINESS OWNER you should always satisfy your customers ESPECIALLY a elderly person! After my service JENNY took photos of my nails and insisted on me writing a review right then and there. Well this is my review! Joanna was amazing but I appreciate businesses that value their customers and will not want to support this place. Lastly the last time I went a woman came in asking to use the restroom. They said ā€œcustomers onlyā€. The woman insisted and was in workout clothes. They said $2, CASH ONLY. Eventually the woman was able to zelle the $2 to use the restroom! Initially I understood because it can happen so often and people are nasty in restrooms. After the 2nd incident I realized this business is not reflective of...

…. Honestly I don’t even know what to say other than I’m done with this place forever mind you I been coming here on and off since I was a child. I really did overlook it being pretty dirty and BUG central but the man who did my pedicure it was horrible ! Worst one in my life . He redid my French tips THRICE then painted over the white lines with the base color ? Instead of re starting , each time the lines were SO thick I tell him thinner please but nope. My nail got smudged by a workers chair .. he painted over it instead of redoing the nail . I waited over TWO hours for my toes to dry , saw every woman who came after me leave … I asked hello what’s going on ? He’s like 15 more mins … did not even get a receipt had to figure it out my self then with wet toes go find him and pay . I asked another worker can u please check if they are dry I have to go, so she puts Saran Wrap on both my feet 😭 tells me okay you’re good to go . I come home take off my shoes and of course nails look destroyed because they were not fully dry still !and not done well . Money wasted! Whole time I’m praying the huge bee that’s on the window right in front of the drying station does not sting me ! Not worth it anymore sure the prices are great but it comes with a lot,...
