I work in the area in the Legal industry and have been coming to this deli for over a year. If the deli wasn't so close to my office i would never step inside. The prices here are astronomical and unreasonable, especially with the current recession going on. I understand the deli is located in the financial district but it's ridiculous how this deli takes advantage of its consumers. Today i ordered a barely 5 oz cup of oatmeal which came to $8. Included in the $8 was a $2 fee for honey! HONEY (not pure, organic flown from the beehive honey generic honey, full of sugar over the counter honey) this is ridiculous. I expressed my frustration multiple times with the staff here and they seem to have an attitude which is ironic as they themselves are not making nearly close to the wage i make for a living so they should be more understanding regarding my concerns. They see the prices but there checks im sure don't correlate to what consumers are being charged for their purchases. This is one of the biggest issues with the U.S and why its failing. Taking advantage of the public is never ethical. If you can't run your business and have reasonable pricing, then close it! Do better! This is the sentiment of many of...
Read moreUPDATE! Over the course of the pandemic I have ordered many sandwiches from Best of NY. I come back because they are consistent and delicious. My go to is the chicken chipotle on a hero. Tonight I was given one of the greatest hot subs of my life. The chipotle spice was perfect, a little bite but it tastes great with the avocado and mozzarella. The chicken cooked to perfection. Thank you for all the meals! Tonight the Chicken Chipotle was out of this world. Elevating a regular meal into an experience!
Well, I never leave reviews and I have been eating quite a lot throughout my 29 years of existence. That being said, I am a sucker for a good sandwich and fries. I ordered a Chicken Cordon-Bleu sub with tots tonight. Simply put, these were the greatest tots I have ever eaten. I don't know how you accomplished the perfect crunch but you did and I experienced it. Thank you for the greatest tater...
Read moreSo I visited best New York to order a bagel with butter and bacon I was charged $6.50 now when I order a bagel with cream cheese and bacon I'm charged $5.50. I was told today that the reason for the $6.50 charge was because they added extra bacon to my order since there was no cream cheese. This is a ridiculous reply. I didn't know that butter cost more than cream cheese. I never asked for extra bacon. This is not the first time this is constant issue at this place The amount of rudeness that is delivered by the cook is uncalled for. I've worked in the area over 20 something years people in my company and myself have visited the best of New York on numerous occasions. their prices are always changing for the same items on different days. You are better off going to dunkin' donuts or Starbucks or the local deli on Fulton Street for consistency. It makes sense now why this place is...
