I've been to this place twice but no more.. 1st time was good. 2nd time I had a horrible experience. September 14th was my 31st Birthday. I wasn't planning anything but spontaneously me and my friends decided to go there after work. While rushing, me getting ready I forgot my wallet at home. (I was bringing different bag but then I decided to bring heels and wear sneakers so I switched to a bigger bag and apparently forgot to put the wallet there. )It was 4 of us , 4 girls. |
When it was time to order food and drinks I had to open a tab with my card and then I found out that I forgot the whole wallet. So my friend decided to use her card instead. We ordered food and then we wanted drinks so they asked us IDs .. I went to the table asked my friends their IDs brought it to the bar and I was showing them, one of my friend was standing by my side, I told the guy that out of 4 IDs we have 3 physical and 1 I could show I had a picture in my phone. He was going to be okay with it but out of nowhere 1 guy who said was a manager showed up right away with passive aggressive attitude towards us in front of staff and other customers at the bar, refusing to give us drinks and not only for me but for everyone which is unfair for my friends. I was trying to explain nicely to him that its my Birthday and was asking him to look at the picture but he was rude didn't even for 1 second tried to be understanding of the situation, to look at the picture at least, and either make a 1 time exception or tell me nicely whatever you gotta say and not try to make me look like a Liar or whatever. And I'm not even a drinker I was gonna take only 1 symbolically to celebrate my birthday.
If you, the manager are reading this and I hope you will, know that you don't deserve to be a manager who doesn't know anything about customer service and in general social skills. But thank you, you tired to ruin my celebration but you made it better. Because I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. We left the place right away and found much much much better place , actually the perfect place to celebrate my birthday with respectful, nice staff, great food, drinks and an amazing view. I was telling about your place my friends and coworkers because It was good for the 1st time but now you lost me as a customer and you lost your potential future customers as well.
P.S. Also I'm a firm believer of karma and the justice of the universe. So, Good or bad whatever you put out there, will eventually come...
Read moregood local spot for anyone who:
— loves beer (extensive list) — loves games (feather bowl, foos, video games+) — enjoys upleveled “bar” food — fun cocktails — has family visiting with teens — meeting friends and don’t want to just drink — likes a roof top .. with a bridge view
i’ve been a few times for different reasons but most recently had family in town for memorial day weekend, including a 16 and 18 year old.
saturday lunch checked all the boxes — large seating area, something on the menu for everyone (including food allergies), cool open vibe .. and a beer list for the connoisseurs in the group (not me, i’m a wine drinker — and thought options were solid for a beer venue!)
first time eating here and we had:
steak skewers w chimichurri pork tacos bbq chicken flatbread big ass pretzel (yes that’s the name) chicken sandwich
everyone seemed happy with their choices but the run away hits were two starters:
⭐️ elote vibe corn ⭐️ kitchen sink nachos
prob not the actual name but you’ll figure it out — but i’ll never look at nachos the same way again. served in a tin bowl and cheese etc layered throughout .. not just on top.
corn alone was amazing, corn added on a nacho chip is brilliant.
anyhoo — i’d def go back and suggest you give it a try. there’s something...
Read moreALL YOU NEED TO KNOW IS FEATHER BOWLING FOLKS! How often in this life do you get to experience a brand new activity/game that you have never ever played before? Feather Bowling is EXTREMELY rare like there are maybe 2 or 3 other places You can play Feather Bowling and none of them are anywhere near here! It’s an amazing sport! They have 2 lanes of Feather Bowling’s signature half pipe lanes that as many as 6 people (3 per team ) can roll wheels (not balls more Like cheese wheels made of wood) wheels rolling them down the half pipe and seeing which team can get there wheels closest to the Feather , there it is. Which stands at each end of the( same Length lanes as 10 pin bowling length lanes I think*) and also unique each team Throws ALL its wheels before the other team and this changes the strategy to one of building defenses. It’s just awesome and fresh as hell cause nobody has done it before , believe me , go impress someone and take em here. Nobody knows about me this awesome game unless u r in Detroit , Montreal or Belgium really, cause it’s a Flemish game originally. Anyways everybody please go go go and support this place and u won’t be disappointed , it’s awesome and new and fun! Thank You now NYC really has...
