We have been hearing about this place and we were amazed to see the range of unique flavors it offers. The employees inside the store were super helpful as we try to make a decision on what flavors to get. We were each allowed to sample up to two flavors and that was really useful to help us decide what to get. We know we wanted to get the praline butter cake after sampling it but wasn't sure what to pair it with until one of the employees suggested pistachio to go with it. And so we got one scoop of Praline butter cake and one scoop of pistachio and we have to say that it was a delicious combination! I really hope though they can get their sesame ice cream back. Always a happy customer at Van Leeuwen.

The ice cream itself was pretty good and the overall service was not bad. However, I order a waffle cone and 2 scoops. I left after getting my ice cream and Ias I was waiting for the train I took the last bottom piece of the cone (usually the best bite), that is when I felt something extremely hard once I tried to bite down. When I was able to separated and spit it out, is a thick and solid metal piece. This is the picture I took right after. UNACCEPTABLE. I could of broken my tooth or even swallowed the piece. If I was closer to the shop at that point I definitely would of spoken to the employees there. BE CAREFUL.

We just bought 4 icecreams in your soho location at NY! And the lady at the register was the rudest person ever! She got extra angry when my husband tried to explain what we where paying for! She had to call another girl who tried to help her! When I asked her why she was so angry.. she said that she wasnt that it was our fault! Then she proceed to scream at us infront of my to children! She said: you should get back to your country, I dont care of this job we can go outside and work it out! My young kids got so scare! Yes we are from Mexico but I think we have the right to buy icecreams anywjere we want! I will totally tell how you treat your customers to everyone! Our sunday...

First time at this ice cream spot. We stopped by an hour before they closed so they were out of a couple things because it was a busy day. They are a little expensive, 1 scoop of regular with 3 free toppings and 2 scoops of Vegan (not sure if toppings were free) came to $17.00 and change. They have Vegan (dairy free) ice cream and your regular dairy ice cream. I had the regular salted carmel and it was good. My boyfriend decided to get the Vegan (first time for that) ice cream. I don't remember the flavors but he ate it all Lol. I'm not making any health claims here but he did say the Vegan ice cream did not give him...
