ft: -octopus: wow. the plating was insane. the octopus itself was SO tender and seasoned perfectly. i've had quiet a lot of octopus in my lifetime, but this may have been the best i've had. genuinely. i love that even though this was an appetizer, it came with potatoes and avocados. again, the plating WAS STUNNING. -meatballs: you can never go wrong with classic meatballs. they were so yummy! great flavors and cooked to perfection. -hanger steak: OMG. this might have been one of the best steak i've had?!?!? there was a tiny layer of crust/crispiness on the outside, and the the rest of it was beyond tender. the flavor was spot on. the mushroom sauce that it came with paired very well with it. i appreciated the side of broccoli rabe and potatoes. 10/10 i recommend getting this. beautifully plating. -cacio e pepe: again, WOW. i was constantly blown away this entire dinner. everything about it was great - the noodles were cooked for the right amount of time, the cheese was melted perfectly, and the flavors were amazing. -naughty lady cocktail: loved the flavors! tasted fruity and the taste of elderberry was present. -pendennis club: the gin taste was prevalent, and honestly was very interesting tasting. beautiful drink! -lemon ginger sorbet: SO YUMMY!!! extremely refreshing after all the other food we ate. this was delicious.

Shoutout to our server Helder—he was attentive and friendly throughout the dinner.
*Grilled Octopus $22** The tenderness of the octopus won our heart. The outer was well-grilled with a slight crispy, while the inside was still bouncy and tender. The green tomato vinaigrette was a great sauce to dip into. We also enjoyed the roasted herb potato on the side.
*Yellow Fin Tuna Tartare $21* A refreshing and appetizing antipasti. The fresh tuna cubes created a harmonious flavor with mashed avocado on the bottom. It was delicious to eat with the toasted garlic bread.
*Hanger Steak $42* Star of the show was definitely the hanger steak. The steak was cooked to perfection with a nice pinkish center and charred edges. It was served with a porcini mushroom sauce and roasted potato. Every element on the plate hit the mark, except the broccoli rabe was a tad salty for my liking.
*Orecchiette Pugliese $28 They rotate the pasta menu based on seasonal ingredients. Our server recommended orecchiette pugliese, which was tossed with italian sausage, broccoli rabe, sun-dried tomato and parmigiano. The ear-shaped pasta held up the sauce beautifully. The flavors grew on us after a few more bites and we devoured it.
*Tiramisu $12 I really liked the fluffy and airy texture of the mascarpone cheese. I wished the ratio of mascarpone cheese and ladyfingers were...
Read moreThis used to be one of my favorite places to grab drinks or eat dinner with friends but had a very disappointing experience this time. My friend and I arrived early for our reservation and said to the hostess that we were early and that our other friend would be here at the reservation time and we wanted to just sit at the bar and have a drink. Another gentleman came over and said our table was available now (it was just after 5, we came after a matinee) and gestured behind him to a bar area table. I said I had made a reservation for a standard table not a high top, because you are asked to select a seating area when making a reservation. He said all the tables are high tops and I move parties around where I think it makes sense… well then don’t let your customers think they have a choice? He said you can sit there or I can cancel your reservation. My friend jumped in and asked if there’s any other larger tables at all, that table is very small for 3 people. He said no. So with no other choice we sat at the maybe 24” dia table. The waiter was perfectly nice but you could tell they were understaffed and everyone was rushing around. Quality of the food is not as good as it used to be and timing of courses was way off. We still had half a pizza and half a salad on the table, and were actively eating when our mains came out. We had to rearrange the table so they could put the plates down. It was ridiculous. Restaurant never filled up before we left- because it was a super early dinner -so there was no reason we couldn’t have a different table or why our food was rushed out. Seating 3 people at a 2 top instead of a 4 top just shows a complete lack of concern for your...
