The Donut Pub — Restaurant in New York

I tried a variety of donuts at the original 14th st donut pub location, and the vegan cake chocolate dipped, and the similar old fashioned chocolate dipped) were delicious. This darker chocolate covered icing is very rich and thick, and comparable to my other favorite chocolate donuts Black Gold at Doughnut Project and the dark chocolate vegan sourdough at Donut Plant, yet, the vegan one at Donut Pub is more reasonably priced. Donut pub also has the healthier options (besides vegan cake donuts), in the old fashioned cake donuts of the whole wheat plain donut, and whole wheat glazed donuts, which are a bit lower in sugar, and unusual to have some whole grains, and difficult to find elsewhere. Open 24hrs, and seems to have fresh batches around 6pm and many fresh batches in the morning, though may also at other times. Among my favorite locations along with Doughnut project, and doughnut plant. donut project and donut plant both have nut and seed options and Donut Pub is all nut free depending on your preference or allergies. All 3 are much better than dunkin or krispy, even at a higher price for often larger donuts. You're also getting more natural ingredients with less preservatives and artificial flavors than dunkin donuts and krispy kreme, and fresher, and richer, more interesting, and often healthier lower-sugar options. From Gold Belly, donut pub appears to have simple ingredients: donut pub's old fashioned 12 different flavor cake donuts: Wheat, Rye Flour, Soy Flour, Oil, Salt, Sugar, Egg, Milk, Baking Soda, donut pub's vegan donuts: Wheat Flour, Canola Oil, Salt, Soy Flour, Soy Milk, Soy Wheat, Gum, while if you look at Krispy Kreme's and Dunkin Donut's ingredient list on their websites, you will see many artificial flavors and preservatives even in their simple french...

12/12/2024 - ORDER BY DELIVERY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! Ordered a dozen donuts. 79.00 dollars. Once again they delivered what I did not order. No freakin phone call to advise me what replacement I would like or simply don’t charge me for what you don’t have available. They gave me no plain crullers and replaced them with chocolate doughnuts! Really??? IF YOU ORDER FOR DELIVERY, THEN ORDER AT YOUR OWN RISK AND LUCK.

Never again will I order here. They raised their prices again and for 7.50 a donut, I might as well go to higher-end places like Dough or Planet Donut. They have lost my loyalty for good!!!!

Average donuts at a steep price BUT wayyyyy better than the processed fast-food chain kind. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM that has happened to me 3 times with this STORE is ... when I ordered for delivery ... IF they don't have your donut of choice, THEN they will give you whatever else that is available. NOT EVEN a phone call to notify you and have some consideration. It REALLY RUINS your breakfast. In the end, you will find yourself battling it with those horrible apps, where ones will NOT REFUND you and OTHERS might give you a credit with the app. AND you will end up paying for something you did not order. Drop everything you're doing right now and go to The Donut Pub. ...It was practically love at first sight for me - I remember the way those maple glaze bacon croissant donuts looked at me from the display window when I passed by for the first time. (and oh do they taste just as good as they look). But seriously, this place will always hold a special place in my heart - its a great place to go for a casual coffee with a friend, the perfect after dinner dive if you're looking a for a sweet treat (at any hour of the night), and if you're looking for some food a little bit more savory they even have delicious breakfast sandwiches available on a roll, bagel, or croissant. Those maple bacon donuts are what caught my eye the first time at The Donut Pub, but it was the friendly, down-to-earth service and unique bar-stool diner aesthetic that stole my heart and keeps me coming back every week. I wish I could give you more than 5 stars, but since I can't, I guess these pictures from my last Donut Pub visit will have to do. Thank you Donut Pub - you are amazing.
