I had been a LOYAL customer of Satori Laser (14th st location) since 2018 because of all the good reviews Iād read online. THREE (3) years later, here I was still getting treatments from them until this October! Not anymore, lesson learned! You are wasting your time & money if you are getting treatments from them past the 8-10 session mark they promise! They are HIGHLY unprofessional & they will do absolutely nothing for you. They will promise you things and change up their words.
I first visited Satori for a consultation in 2018. They asked me if I wanted to start my sessions that day and I didnāt have any issues with that. Supposedly the lady who does the consultations, sheās been in the industry for more than a decade and is very experienced.. however I went home and noticed burns on my underarms. I still have those scars from my first treatment. They provided complimentary sessions for microdermabrasion which did absolutely nothing. Recently, the same happened but in a different area. They told me they would prescribe me medication to heal that and get rid of the pigmentation, but guess what, I heard back nothing..no follow-ups.
I have gone through 12-15 treatments on most parts of my body and still there is excess hair growth. When I say excess, I mean it! After 14-15 sessions, I understand beings spotty, but having full hair growth everywhere as if I never got treated is something else! Also please be mindful, those are not hormonal areas! They claim their machines to be the highest and most powerful, but it is bs! Until Tamomi was there, the treatment & settings worked for me but since she left in 2020 and I got a different tech, I started getting trapped hair follicles and soo much hair growth everywhere (picture below from my 13th session for 3/4 arm).
Michelle, who is from management, she promises you loads of things, but fails to follow- up. Their customer service really sucks. They will claim to look after you and āwork with youā, but thatās their business strategy to keep you coming. Sheād offered me complimentary sessions, but guess what? She completely shifted from that mindsetāmultiple times she promised she would follow up with me to see how the last treatment worked, but there were no follow-ups. Bad Management!
I would highly suggest you to stay away from this trashy place and save your money and invest in a better laser salon! I wouldnāt be surprised if they paid someone to get fake reviews on google. They claim to be cheap, with high quality machines, but their machines and customer care really pays that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI started going to Satori last year, it was recommended through a friend. I travel from New Jersey and it takes me some time to get to Satori. Iāve rescheduled appts. if I thought I wasnāt going to make it. If I was 5 minutes late I was most likely I was around the corner. I was also called by the front desk if I was late. The team is usually in good spirits but yesterday was a different story⦠I knew I was a little late walking in but no more than 5 minutes. I didnāt receive a phone call and as I was checking in I hearā¦āumm just to let you know we canāt provide all of your services today blah blahā¦ā There was no nice greeting just a snotty attitude. I didnāt recognize the young lady so maybe she was new or from a different location. She went on to explain to me that I would only be able to get 1 or 2 small areas done blah blahā¦Iām still not fully checked in so sheās barking from the moment I step in. I explain to her that I come from Jersey and thereās usually a bit of a grace period because I get a call. The snotty front desk lady then interrupted me and said āThere is no grace period,ā and went on explain what I canāt get done again. She didnāt listen and she clearly wanted to try out a new attitude. Well, she was starting to really aggravate me so I just informed that I will be getting whatever I can get done and I wonāt be returning. She didnāt even bat an eyelash. Ok. So Iām escorted by a technician that I also never seen before with a dingy lab coat. She was older and you would think that everything would be ready right since Iām so late. As I lay down I notice the clock was at 2:32 and my appt. was at 2:25! The technician took a while to get the laser ready and was slow moving. By the time she actually started it was more than enough time for me to get another area done. Also, it seemed like she was the only tech there which also could have contributed but, then that should have been explained, IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER! Very disappointing⦠UPDATE* A day after review was posted I immediately got a call back/vm from the general manager. She expressed her concerns/apologies and wanted to set up a time to discuss what happened further. I admit, I did take a while to return the call. However, when I did she was pleasant and polite while I explained my experience. She offered her genuine apologies, assured that it would not be taken lightly and a gift card! I appreciate the concern and professional actions taken by Satori, I will be returning! (Because they really do an awesome jobā¦as I mentioned I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI highly recommend this Satori lazer location. I've been going to Satori Lazer for a long time and I have never had a bad experience. As a transwoman services that involve someone else working on your body can feel very fraught and you never know how you'll be treated, but everyone at Satori has always treated me with respect and understanding. I've never been misgendered or anything like that.
As for the hair removal, it's about as painful as you'd expect but the technicians always make you as comfortable as possible and they always prepare you for those areas that can be extra painful, like the upper lip. I've been treated by a number of different technicians there, most often Samarra, they always pay close attention to what you're going for in terms of results and they're all as fast as they are meticulous.
When it comes to cost the prices are incredibly reasonable considering the high quality of care you'll receive. Ideally you should purchase your treatments as packages of 3-6 treatments because its a better deal than doing a one off treatment and the way lazer hair removal works you'll need to do about 6 treatments to really make the hair permanently gone. It may seem like a big cost upfront but if you compare it to other lazer hair removal places or against other forms of hair removal like electrolysis and game out the cost long term you'll find you can't do better. Plus you get what you pay for and you don't want someone who doesn't know what they're doing.
The areas I've been treating, beard and chest, are at the point now where they only need the occasional spot treatment and I'm so happy with the results. I went from having to shave my chest and beard everyday, suffering through constant shaving irritation to only having to shave when I'm about a week out from the next appointment and when I do shave it's a hair here, a hair there, I could count them on one hand. Those areas were my greatest source of dysphoria and the work Satori has done has provided great relief.
My advice to anyone starting lazer hair removal: Take some advil before your appointment, buy some aloe, and, most importantly, follow Satori's before/after care instructions...
