567 Framing — Local services in New York

This is what life is supposed to be like :) I've had three different pieces framed here: an original water color; a limited edition print; and a mass-produced poster. I will always bring my framing projects to this shop from now on. Each time I've brought a piece here, the person assisting me (Hiro) was courteous, respectful, and thoughtful and very skilled at putting together a framing project. He was interested in what I had in mind, listened, and then made suggestions to show me how the idea could be executed, and offered other ideas I hadn't thought of, but that were interesting and aesthetically pleasing, as well. Then, based on the budget for each piece, Hiro showed what elements and options were budget-minded, and what was pushing up the cost. I don't think 567 is on average more expensive or less expensive, but I've had three different pieces of about the same size end up on the inexpensive, average, and slightly more pricey side, but this was all based on the materials and options I had asked for, and this was clearly explained and honored. The turnaround on jobs is reasonable (quoted 2 weeks, but ready in a week). I received a timely follow-up call when my work was ready. All-around excellent. I recommend...

Just picked up a very large poster I had mounted as well as a canvas that I needed stretched onto a frame and was again impressed by 567's very clean work paired with extremely competitive pricing. I have yet to find another shop in the city that can match their work which makes the trip from 181st street down to 14th well worth the time.

I'm editing my review to reflect a follow-up call from the shop. I've always relied on 567 for all of my framing work based on the really professional and clean work they do paired with incredibly reasonable pricing - a combination that is near impossible to find in the city. On my most recent visit however, it seemed that their prices had really skyrocketed - an error on my part because I'd apparently chosen a more expensive frame than I'd used in the past.
