We ordered takeout from a restaurant recommended by Inn at Nye Beach called Clearwater Restaurant. Behind Clearwater Restaurant is outdoor seating overlooking Yaquina Bay. While we waited for our takeout food, we walked behind Clearwater Restaurant to see one of the best free tourist attractions in North America. Our children loved seeing the sea lions. The sea lions live here for eleven months out of the year. These sea lions are not shy. They communicate loudly. This is totally a men's club. No female sea lions are here.
We personally recommend The Chowder Bowl and Mo's Seafood & Chowder for quality fresh, delicious food and quantity. Clearwater Restaurant offers quality fresh, delicious food and a romantic dating ambience with white tableclothed tables, but not enough quantity. 😃$...
Read moreWe went to this dock the other day, and it was totally ripe. There were sea lions everywhere, just hanging out and being all kinds of stinky and talkative. I mean, they were literally just lounging around, like they had just rolled in a barrel of fish guts and acted like kids playing king of the dock.
