Update: 3.5/5 stars. Since this visit, I’ve been back a few times and the burgers have been mid. Not much different from like Wendy’s or something. I’m not sure why the inconsistency but sadly I don’t find this place to be awesome anymore.
This burger was a BEAST. GIGANTIC. And expensive as it was $20 for a burger, fries, and coke. In line with Five Guys pricing which also has quality burgers. These are onion burgers so expect a very onion taste, but I wouldn’t say it was overbearing this time. Probably because I did double patty and cheese with bacon so the ratios were different. You can ask for no onions but I wonder if it’s still in the patty. Idk but I know it could lesson the onion flavor.
The onions on the burger are very thin, floppy, and stringy. Not a typical onion consistency so just be aware of that. Idk kinda like artichoke or sauerkraut or something kind of texture. Gets in your teeth.
Fries were fried to order which resulted in fresh fries. They were great!!
Good experience overall. The beef was VERY big and juicy. Didn’t have the MOST flavor to it but def not bland. With all the stuff I had on my burger, it worked. The bacon was quality, and so was the bun! This isn’t the case at all burger joints. Food was made in a timely manner.
It’s expensive but it was def a special occasion, I wanted a big juicy burger. Not a place I will go to all the time. I’m not a big fan of all the onion business, but I know it’s in the name.
As someone else mentioned, there is a sign on the door that says “all are welcome”. But they don’t have bathrooms available for people who are nonbinary, nor do they have spots for curbside or a drive thru window for people who are unable to easily leave their vehicles. These are basic things that restaurants have so don’t have a sign like that if you’re actively not being...
Read moreFebruary 4th, 2024: Tried the plant-based, Impossible Burger this time. It was pretty great. I would eat it again! Their regular bun wasn't plant-based so we went with the kids bun... Huge mistake, next time I'll lettuce wrap it.
December 12th, 2020: Went back for more! This time they did us right with the lettuce! Hands-down best burger game in town. Consistently well-seasoned and delicious. Way to go Tucker's. Only con for us right now is that they still don't have nutrition information available.
Loved the burger! I had a double onion cheeseburger with bacon, grilled jalapenos, lettuce, and mustard in a bowl. We don't do bread, so it was awesome that Tucker's Onion Burgers gave us that option. I generally consider Five Guys Burgers the Holy Grail of well-seasoned hamburgers but there's now a new favorite in town. I absolutely loved this burger and will definitely go back.
Things I would change if I could: They told me it would be lettuce-wrapped in the bowl, however there was no lettuce to speak of. Could have been a communication problem with me and the person taking the order. I'm not a huge fan of American cheese so if given the option for other cheeses I would definitely dig it even more! Could be that they already offer other cheeses, I didn't think to ask.
Con: The person who took my order and who checked me out couldn't have been less interested. Maybe she's just having a bad day... there is a pandemic going on. Also, I cannot find Tucker's nutrition information listed anywhere and I thought that was required.
All in all great burgers, a definite "You Must Try It!" Also, the jalapenos were for real hot (the way we like it), I'm still experiencing the heat in my mouth as I...
Read moreI heard about this place from “This is Oklahoma” on Instagram. I love onions and burgers, so it seems a perfect storm of delicious food. The outside smelled really good. Inside, it smelled like burnt off smelling onions. The inside of the restaurant was clean and neat. The signs on the wall were quirky and neat. The menu looked good and tight, not too many items. The ice cream looked good as well. The outside was well trimmed and new. The order method was interesting. The selections are circled on the bag. The fries were fresh cut and good. The burger did not impress. My single bacon cheese onion burger with mustard was ok. My wife’s burger was a single onion burger with mayo. The mayo tasted off. The mustard burger was better. I wanted to like it, but I just did not. This sampling should have been better, since I was covering it with hunger sauce. I was so hungry I wanted it to be amazing, but it was not. I have now been here and I will not be back. It was not awful, it was ok, but not worth the money. The only bright spot was the cute young cashier. She was sweet and helpful. She also laughed at my lame dad jokes and rolled with them well. According to the receipt her name was Deja. My wife and I both liked her.
