I’ve never been so disrespected and management is a joke and lets this go on. I visited this location earlier this evening at 5:48 pm, 12 minutes before Concord Mills closed. I use to always patronize this Salsaritas location in the mall when they first opened back in 2010. I stopped coming to CM in recent years because of their reputation and from the treatment I received this evening at this Salsarita’s, I doubt I’ll ever return. My son, mother, and I approached the counter at Salsarita’s w/ time to spare before they closed and were the only ones waiting. The manager was at the register, the two employees were wiping down the counters and the equipment. The manager nor her two employees greeted us, instead the manager walks off to the next store and her two unprofessional, rude, I’m guessing teenage, employees walk off to the back of the store. I told my mom, “I guess they didn’t want to take our order”. My mom changes her mind and says she doesn’t want anything from there because of how rude they were. I was so close to doing likewise and should have followed suit. I waited two to three minutes until an attitudinal worker came back to the front and asked me what I wanted. Still no proper greeting. As I’m telling her what all I want on my order, “She says “That’ll be a dollar extra”, “that’ll be three dollars extra”. I was like “for what?” “Y’all skim on the items at this location and want to charge more?” She then walks off leaving my food unattended (whoever works your weekend shift, short African American light complexion with tattoos on her arms weave ponytail, please have her along with the other African American employee with the top lip piercing who thought it was appropriate to drink and and smack heavily on candy in my face, when did eating on the job become allowed?) for a some guy from the next restaurant over to come over to finish. He continued telling me everything was $3 extra. I then asked to speak to the supervisor. He walks over to get her and comes back and says she’ll be a few minutes and I said, “ok, I’ll wait”. It’s the same lady who was at the register when I arrived who walked off. I told her outdone I was at how unprofessional her staff was. She said she would talk to them. She then sends another unprofessional employee (another one who refused to greet us and walked off when we arrived ) she came out eating a bag of M&Ms and smacking in my face and sipping on a drink. When did that even become allowed to eat on the job? I worked for HMS Host (Idk if the food court at concord mills is still under HMS Host now) back in 2005-2006 in the Concord Mills Food Court where Auntie Annie’s use to be Caravel Ice Cream and they’d fire your ssa on the spot because we had secret shoppers left in right if you dare tried to pull some unprofessional ish like eating and drinking in a customers face and being rude and professional as all hell just because you can. I took my receipt out of her hand, she said “No, she didn’t snatch it out my hand. No, she didn’t snatch it out my hand” . Then I’m left to bag my food myself. I told her, I don’t work here anymore! I worked here almost 20 years ago, shouldn’t you be helping me with this. It’s bad enough we as black women get labeled as hard to deal with and unprofessional, but when you’re called out on it you wanna get offended. I know these were more than likely children, but they can learn a valuable lesson and why aren’t they being taught at home some decorum and manners? OAN, the food was cold, the rice was stuck together. How long did y’all have that food...
Read moreThis location has the prices jacked way up. I just wanted chips and queso, which is usually $3.29, and it was $5 at this location. Also I’m pretty sure this is not the same cheese other salsaritas have. Salsaritas cheese is not usually this orange, and it tastes like gas station nacho cheese. I asked if that was the right size container for the cheese and they informed me that the other size was $8, bud that the chips would be extra if I bought it, because I was just buying cheese, not chips and cheese? I didn’t want to get charged double for that as well, so I skipped it. Honestly though, what type of insane game of semantics are y’all playing here just to get away with charging people inflated prices for cheese that probably comes dehydrated or in a bag?😂 Rest assured I’ll just go to a regular Salsaritas location next time instead of this scam they’re running in the mall here. Franchise owners who try to pull stuff like this wonder why there’s nobody in line there but even Burger King across the...
Read moreMy daughter loves Salsaritas in Ballantyne, but I had maybe the worst quesadilla that I've ever had at Concord mills Mall. It was under seasoned and watery. It was impossible to even pick a piece up. You would have thought that they could have humored me and at least cut the quesadilla into some symmetrical triangles resembling a quesadilla. Instead, I received a rectangle, a small triangle, and the rest looked like a little pile of slop. My daughter and her friend were laughing at it when I opened my container. They also thought their food tasted different than our local Salsaritas. It's just hard to believe that an employee would treat a customer with such disrespect by serving something so obviously incorrect...
