I went there with some friends because we heard of it from social media. We drove for an hour and weren't satisfied.
I got an iced lavender ube tea with oat milk and it wasn’t my taste at all, very synthetic and sweet but thats just my taste buds, very sorry for wasting my 7$. Then I had an eggplant & egg bagel which was very good! The sort of spicy tomatoey sauce was bomb. Other than that, just a plain sesame bagel with a sunny side up egg and some fried eggplant. Nothing that special, for the price of 17$, it was very overpriced.
Now for the customer service, we had a really good waitress, very friendly and giving us good recommendations but and here is the but that made our breakfast a bit unpleasant. We ordered our drinks and food separately, but the drinks did not arrive first. The first thing that was brought to the table was one plate of food?? We then had to wait about 15 min for the second plate of food to come out. Then after like 10min the drinks came. After another 10 min the rest of our food arrived. This made it almost impossible for everyone to eat at the same time and still have a warm breakfast. We would not have had any problem if the drinks came out and we then had to wait like half an hour for all of the food to come out at the same time. No problem, but to do it this way was just very unpleasant… We then ate and everything was fine, then they started taking away the empty dishes, no problem. But then they wanted to take away my half full drink?? Like obviously I am not done with that yet? The same with a plate of food that was still half full. It seemed like they wanted us to go… not very friendly!! She then wiped down our table picking up my drink and phone… you just don’t do that, thats my personal property and not yours to touch. I have to say that the person that took away our food and wiped down the table wasn’t the same waitress that took our orders. She was also only speaking spanish and was pretty rude. I don’t remember her name, but she had colourful (pink I think) glasses. Maybe shes new, but you should definitely educate your personal better on the proper etiquette.
All in all, good food with mediocre drinks and half hearted service for a price of 32$ for a bagel and tea including 8$ service fee, I can’t recommend and will...
Read moreAmazing food, but inconsistent service.
I’ve been here at least 20 times now because I truly want them to improve and become our go-to neighborhood spot. However, every time I leave with the same feeling—that they just can’t get the service right.
The food is absolutely delicious, which is the only reason I keep coming back—especially the bakery items, which are among the best in Miami, in my opinion. The main menu is hit or miss—some dishes are outstanding, while others fall flat. But the bread? That’s everything here!
Service, on the other hand, is where things fall short. Only two of the servers ever smile; the rest often seem to have an attitude. The bussers do an amazing job, but the servers rarely check in after dropping off the food. There’s always a long wait for the check, and the initial greeting often feels like an act of entitlement rather than hospitality. On multiple occasions, I’ve had to go find a server myself.
The inconsistency is another issue—sometimes there’s a hostess, sometimes there isn’t; sometimes there are servers outside, sometimes not. One day missing pickles, another avocado, another wrong bread, yet nobody checks on you until you done. Even the kitchen’s opening time has been unpredictable, though that does seem to be improving.
That said, the outdoor seating is lovely on a good day before it gets too hot. Inside is pleasant from Monday to Thursday, but weekends can feel chaotic and overwhelmingly loud due to the lack of sound insulation.
I really hope that one day we can have a great overall experience—delicious food and good service. And maybe even...
Read moreWhen we were registering at the front desk, we clearly indicated that we were two people. After waiting for about 5 minutes, a waiter came over and shouted that there were three of us. My companion said "two" behind her. She didn't pause and led us to our seats. During the process of getting seated, she also went to another table to greet and kept us standing in a narrow space, which could hardly be called a walkway. The restaurant was noisy and chaotic, easily blocking the busy staff and guests. After we sat down and checked the menu, this waiter came over and said in a reproachful tone, "You are not three, so you can't sit here. This is a table for three people." I asked her where we should sit, and she said she didn't know. We told her that we were two and we didn't feel like dining here. We also complained to the manager about what had just happened. The manager simply said he would look into the situation and didn't seem sorry at all. I was very disappointed with the unprofessionalism of the restaurant staff. As a manager, one must control, manage and operate the entire restaurant well. When this restaurant was so chaotic and without order like the war between Russia and Ukraine, and when you saw the manager instantly giving a fake and awkward smile to the white person, you would know that there were many more professional people suitable for her position. If they continued to treat guests like this, this restaurant would lose customers constantly. All of this ruined the atmosphere of our weekend morning. There are better options on Biscayne Blv,...
