We have dined at this location a half-dozen times before and understand there is always a chance of something not being correct when dining out at any restaurant, but tonight’s experience was the worst I have ever had at any Carrabba’s I’ve dined at in the past 20 years.
We arrived around 6:30 PM and since the restaurant was not very busy, we were seated immediately. The server greeted us within a couple of minutes, took our drink orders and I an appetizer. We always look forward to the baskets of fresh, warm bread and the olive oil with spices but tonight, the bread we were given was stale and barely warm. It was so stale that the crust would not soak up the olive oil. When the server came to take our order, we asked for another basket, but it was barely better.
As I always do, I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce and my wife ordered the salmon capperi with a side order of asparagus; we both got the lentils with sausage soup. The soup came quickly but it took nearly 45 minutes to get our entrees and when they did arrive, my wife’s asparagus was cold and what little amount of meat sauce was in my spaghetti was warm, not hot.
As she ate her salmon, I told my wife to get another order of asparagus and after 10 minutes or so, the server came to see if everything was okay and we asked for another order of asparagus. After a few minutes, we decided that because my wife was nearly done with her salmon, as he walked past, we asked the host to tell our server to cancel the asparagus. Our server offered a free dessert, but we said no, we just wanted the asparagus taken off the check. At this point, the server appeared to become irritated, walked off in a huff and returned with our check.
By this time, we have been in our booth nearly 90 minutes and our menus have sat on the end of the table while our server along with other restaurant staff walked past at least 10 times without stopping to take them. In fact, the menus, an empty breadbasket, and other dirty tableware/silverware were still sitting on the table when got our check.
I am a generous tipper and tip according to the service we receive. In this case, I didn’t want to leave one, but my wife insisted so I left much less than I typically would. If I go back to this location, I will make sure our server tonight is not our server and will wait as long as necessary for a table/booth to be available that server is not...
Read moreLadies and gentlemen, gather 'round, because I have just witnessed service so extraordinary, so beyond exceptional, that it might just change your life forever. Enter Emily—the angel in an apron. From the very moment she approached our table, it was as if the universe itself had sent her to us, a celestial being wrapped in a delightful apron, ready to serve us mere mortals in a way we could have never imagined.
She didn’t just greet us; she welcomed us like we were long-lost family members, arms wide open and ready to shower us with the kind of hospitality you only read about in fairy tales. Her smile? Oh, my friends, it was like the sun came out on a cloudy day, as if a thousand rays of warmth and kindness were beaming directly at us. Each word she spoke was like poetry, with just the right mix of enthusiasm and sincerity—like a Broadway star delivering an award-winning performance, but without the pretension. She was the one we never knew we needed!
As she recommended the specials, it felt like we were getting a sneak peek into the future of dining. Her knowledge of the menu? I swear, she knew each dish like it was her own child. She spoke of the grilled chicken like it was a work of art, describing it with such passion that we almost felt guilty for not ordering three portions. Every suggestion came with a sparkle in her eye that told you, “Trust me, this is going to be the best meal of your life,” and, spoiler alert—she was absolutely right.
As we sipped our drinks, Emily didn’t just serve food; she served joy. She made sure we felt like royalty, and we left feeling like we’d just experienced a once-in-a-lifetime event. It was more than a meal. It was an experience. So, to Emily, we say: You, my dear, are a legend in the making. The culinary world has nothing on your service, and this restaurant could not survive without your unparalleled magic.
In conclusion: If you ever find yourself dining at this establishment, make sure to ask for Emily. The experience will not only fill your stomach, but it will fill your heart with the warmth and glow of a...
Read moreCalled ahead to get on the waiting list and was told 20-25 minutes and that since we called ahead we would be priority seating. We were celebrating a friend of ours 10 year wedding anniversary. Myself and my husband had never been to Carrabba's before but our friends raved about the food and service. We ended up waiting 2 hours and 48 minutes to be seated as they had crossed our name off of the list of people still waiting to be seated.. Finally spoke with a manager who got us seated immediately as we spent those almost 3 hours running back and forth to the bar, so they did see us waiting the entire time. The bartender was super rude, snappy, and about as unfriendly as a snapping turtle. Our waitor on the other hand, Anthony was an absolute delight, he got our drinks, apps, salads and food out in a matter of about 10 minutes. He also spoke with the manager about our wait time and she took off the dinner for the couples anniversary. We understand that everywhere is understaffed and overworked right now so we won't be basing our thoughts on our first time there. Will definitely give them another shot as we hope this was just a bad day and they did everything they could to make it right after the problems were addressed. But, to whomever reads this please give Anthony a raise as he turned our whole night around with his sense of humor, quick service and whit. We'll try again next time, and thanks to the manager for making everything better and addressing that there were a few flaws in the...
