Let me start by saying we are locals and this used to be my favorite restaurant until last week. My son gave us a very generous GC for Christmas which we saved to celebrate my March birthday. When we made our reservation, we asked for a quiet table away from large parties (the acoustics are terrible here). We were seated at the end of a bench shoved into a corner with a solid wall on two sides. Another couple was seated at the table right next to us. The place was packed and there were empty tables out on the porch so I asked to be seated there. The hostess said no, that she had reservations for those tables to which I replied that WE had a reservation! She said, in a very snotty way, “Well, you didn’t ask for the porch!” Here I thought a quiet table would include the porch. She walked away. The hostesses repeatedly double and triple seated our server which I immediately knew would mean poor service and was correct - not exactly his fault, but he didn’t exactly rise to the occasion! He actually stood between our table and the other couple to do his intro and describe the specials then took our orders as if we were a table of 4! So much for our quiet birthday celebration. Food - the normally wonderful Thai rib appetizer was fatty and cold. My salad came with the wrong dressing so had to watch my husband eat while I waited for the correction. The $38 Seafood medley consisted of mostly large tough shrimp, 3 mussels, and 3 rubbery scallops with a few crab pieces on top, and a scoop of rice. Tasted like it was made the day before and microwaved. So disappointing. Also my margarita was served in a beer glass. My husband did enjoy his vodka and pork chop. At least our water glasses stayed filled thanks to the harried busser. We did see our server at the end when it was time to pay our $140.00 (with tip) check - felt like over...

Astounding! In a town as dynamic and popular with tourists as Myrtle Beach, Joe's somehow manages to provide five star food and service while maintaining a small, local "beach steakhouse" vibe. The regular menu offers a wide variety of pleasant entree choices snatched fresh from air, land, and sea. All of these are lovingly prepared, plated, and proffered, then supplemented with creative daily specials. Our waiter, Nick, was confident, well informed, and efficient. He displayed earnest, sweet-tea-Southern hospitality and openness -- qualities we appreciate and enjoy. The cold water and scrumptious cheese, fresh bread, butter and crackers Nick and his helpers served up the moment our rear-ends landed in the booth took the edge off our collective hunger pangs and set the stage for a memorable dinner. (Check out the photos of our choices: a mouth watering sirloin with roast potatoes, "Joe's Chicken" atop spaghetti, shrimp and scallop fettuccini alfredo, and grouper with while rice and a blue cheese sauce.) The Parmesan peppercorn dressing was a big hit among our party. You may need to tranquilize any PETA members among your party -- a Noah's ark of taxidermied wildlife adorns walls of cozy Joe's. Then again, such folks are unlikely to appreciate this fine purveyor of steaks and seafood regardless of how excellent the salads are . . . and let me tell you . . . THEY ARE! A full bar serves up refreshing cocktails, ales, and wines. You will be SPOILED FOR CHOICE when dessert comes around. The lovingly handmade cheesecakes and cobblers in the dessert board all but guarantee you'll be as stuffed as the wildlife on the walls before you wobble out the door. Bravo, Joe's -- a hungry...

We approached the front desk and were unenthusiastically greeted by a young, tall blonde girl. Since we didn’t have reservations and they were busy, we were told it would be 1.5 hours. I gave them my name and asked if they would take my number and call if it was sooner. She had no interest in doing this. We went back to the car and started checking other restaurants to see if we could get in sooner elsewhere. It looked-like our only option was to wait in the parking lot since my wife really wanted to eat at this restaurant and not go somewhere else. After an hour passed I went back in and inquired as to whether we could be seated earlier. There was another lady there and she started to help us and was getting ready to seat us when she asked the other girl if a time was given to us and she said yes. Then they made us wait another half an hour because that was the original time that they made up for us to wait. The waiter offered good service and the other lady who was going to seat us seemed somewhat pleasant after we finally were ushered up to our table. The steak was just ok, the soup was really good. The atmosphere was nice. Overall, after spending $120 for 2 I would not go back there due to them playing games with us because we did not make a reservation originally, the steak not being better than just ok in and making us wait longer than we really needed to. Also the Customer Service from this young tall blonde girl could’ve been a whole lot better. She is not in the right place in that restaurant to be greeting people and making a very bad first impression. If you want to go to this restaurant MAKE A RESERVATION JUST LIKE THEY ENCOURAGE YOU TO DO ON THEIR WEBPAGE OR YOU WILL...

Went here for the 1st time with my parents and uncle on Monday March 10th 2025. This restaurant is sort of off the beaten path, near barefoot landing. parking can be tight, but we found a spot easily that day. And the building sort of looks like a brick in the wall restaurant, but don't let that fool you. We entered, and walked in the building. We were greeted by a host, who sat us in the dining room. A server greeted us right away and was very friendly. First we all started with waters, and then was given time to look over the menu. They have lots of interesting options from seafood, to veal, to chicken to steak, and some sandwiches as well. it can be a little dim in the restaurant. I was fine however. Server was great at mentioning all the specials, as they had alot. Oh and complementary cheese and crackers comes with food. I enjoyed the crackers at least! (sorry, I am not a cheese person!) Finally, we decided what we wanted: I went with the BBQ salmon, in which was the special for that day, My mom went for a prime rib Cooked Medium, my dad went for the seafood alfredo, and my uncle got a chicken dish. Food came out in a timely manner. i really enjoyed my BBQ salmon! My mom also enjoyed her Prime rib, in which i tasted as well, and it was good. My dad enjoyed the seafood alfredo, and he offered up one of his shrimps to me and they were nice and tender. everyone enjoyed their food. We were also checked on and taken care of. We then got the check and paid the bill using a credit card, and also left a cash tip. We will definetely be back soon to try more of the food!

Joe's Bar & Grill is a New American restaurant located on Conway St. in North Myrtle Beach. They are open every day from 4:30PM - 9:30PM. My family and I stopped in last night for our 5:00 reservation, and our table was ready right when we arrived. The food was good, service was friendly, and I Ioved the view of the marsh. Complimentary crackers and butter were provided and already set on the table before we were seated. For appetizers we ordered clams, mussels, and bacon wrapped scallops. The clams were sautéed in a rich blend of white wine, butter, and garlic, while the mussels came in a bold, spicy marinara. They are both served with garlic toast. The bacon wrapped scallops were cooked to absolute perfection and served on a bed of rice. They definitely stole the show! For my entree I decided on the steak au Poivre. It consists of an 8oz filet mignon coated with peppercorns and topped with a brandy and Dijon cream sauce. The steak was cooked to my liking, but I didn't love the accoutrements. All beef entrees come with roasted potatoes and a house salad. You can substitute a cup of soup for $2.00, which is what l did. I got the low country seafood chowder. While the flavor was good, there was barely any seafood. It was mostly vegetables and potatoes. Our server, Gary, was great! He was personable, accommodating, and had a great sense of timing. Everything arrived just when it should. Joe's has indoor and outdoor seating. Happy hour is Sun - Thu 4:30PM - 7PM. Reservations recommended.
