McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in North Richland Hills

I have to start by saying normally this location does pretty well. However on this visit (4/6/22), I brought my family in for dinner. Their food came out good.. Mine however not so much. I ordered ultimate nachos. The plate that they were served on had brown stains all over the plate. At first I thought it was from the food. Then I realized the stains were dried on the plate and that tells me they had been there for a minute. So I was a bit frustrated that my food was served to me on a drity plate. Not only is that completely disgusting but, you would think that in the time that we're in now, businesses would practice HEALTHY and CLEAN practices to keep their customers safe... Especially in this industry! I calmy walked up to the counter and just asked for a new plate. The nice young lady said ok, I watched as she walked to the manager on duty and told him what happened. She then came back and said "He's making you a new one", I thanked her and went back to my table. She brought me a new plate of ultimate nachos. It was literally a plate of chips witha dollop of sour cream and very little toppings... I feel like the second time around they made it with such little toppings as a way to say "F U" to me for asking for a new CLEAN plate. On top of that, the manager couldn't even take the time to come out and give a simple apology. He didn't want to be bothered with it. They weren't busy. This all happened at about 7:45 pm on 4/6/22. I spent $50 bucks here to eat of a dirty plate and then be punished for bringing it to their attention. Hopefully this will be addressed and no one else is subjected to this treatment and maybe this post will help others either avoid the situation or be treated a little better...

I placed a catering order for this location to serve 14 people and when the order arrived we were missing sides. I attempted to ask the delivery driver where the missing items were and he spoke no English. Zero English and was attempting to use Google translate to communicate with me. After a few attempts back and forth, Siri read off to me that he is not responsible for the items just the delivery portion. I sent him on his merry way and called the store. I was connected with someone named Haley who was less than sympathetic to the fact that my order was incorrect. She placed me on hold and tried to find a delivery driver and after a minute hops back on the line and tells me no delivery driver is available. She offers to let me come get the missing items from their location or to take a discount off my order. If i had the ability to leave I wouldn't have paid the $25 delivery fee nor would I have pre-paid the $20 tip. For the inconvenience of not receiving our whole order I received a $14 discount...not even the entire delivery fee. I had to leave our meetings and run to another local store to fulfill our order so our team could eat. Huge inconvenience and a total waste of time and money. Beware of ordering catering from here. Horrendous customer service and zero...

Maddie met us with a beautiful smile and friendly welcome, as my wife and I walked in McAlister's for the first time, for lunch. Maddie explained the menu and questions I had, she was patient and professional. Maddie made me feel at home, she also made great honest suggestions. I wish I would've Tipped the staff more than 15%. I didn't realize how much of a prompt and attention to detail Sandwich/Deli Shop McAlister's is. Julie was very fast bringing our order to my wife and I. Kiera was super nice to us also, but Kiera got busy with other customers. It was starting to get busy. Jimmy, Maddie, Julie and other staff were running and were very attentive to all the customers' needs that were there having lunch. Thank you Maddie, you are right Mac&Cheese and cookies are delicious.

I really like the club sandwich, the ham and turkey had a great deli flavor. The bread was toasted lightly and lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and crisp and ripe flavor. I didn't see much bacon on the club though. My Wife thoroughly enjoyed the Rueben.
