Buddy's Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in Oak Ridge

I ordered and paid online to save time as I was headed to work. Pulling into the drive-thru I notice a large sign on the door stating "Dining room open until 8:00". I was surprised there wasn't a designated space for online orders but figured the line would move fast since all the food has already been cooked. NOPE. After sitting in line for 15 minutes I got the bright idea of getting out of line and just going inside since the dining room is open until 8:00. I circled the building, parked, and went to the door and again NOPE. A small little handwritten note on the door stated the dining room was closed. I got back in the drive-thru line, now behind 2 additional cars. 35 minutes of sitting in line I finally got my food. When I got to work and opened the box there was no fork or knife, no napkin, and the 3 dressings I paid for weren't there. I ordered online and paid $29.85 to sit in a 35 minute drive-thru so I could get to work and eat your tiny little dried out wings with no dressing and green beans with my fingers. Oh, and they will not answer their phone either. I'm clueless how they stay in business. The wait might be worth it if the food was even above average but it's only marginally better than an elementary...

A good barbeque restaurant in Oak Ridge There are many restaurant options in the Oak Ridge area in general and along Illinois Avenue specifically. This is one of the few barbeque restaurants in this area. It is a stand-alone building on the south side of the main road, Illinois Avenue, situated between Waffle House and Baskin Robbins. Buddy’s has a website and several locations in Tennessee mostly between Knoxville and Chattanooga according to their map but this is the only one I have visited. There is plenty of parking as all 3 of these buildings are in the middle of a large parking lot. This one has a drive through so be careful when crossing the parking lot and entering the site. As with most locations, you order at the counter and they will call your number. I ordered a barbecue sandwich, fries, and tea. The prices were very reasonable. The staff was friendly. The restaurant was clean. The food came out quickly and was good. The french fries were not to my liking but the sandwich, sauce, and iced tea were excellent. I would recommend this location to anyone wanting a good meal or tea in the Oak Ridge...

If i could give this establishment a negitive 5 stars i would because they dont deserve a 1 star. First and last time I ever eat from this chain. This establishment false advertises pricing on the menu board and does not give you lots of extra bbq sauce on your food when requested and rips you off at the register amd the service here is really poor. I stopped in to order food and ordered 2 combo meals of pork chicken and ribs that should of been 10.99 per plate and was charged for 2 beef combo dinners @ 13.79 per plate and received the combo plate that I ordered of pork chicken and ribs. I will stick to the mom and pop bbq joints that actually serve excellent bbq over buddys poor quality bbq. the food wasn't that great and I didn't smell any wood smoke or see a chimney here so they must electric smoke the meat at buddys and im sure I'm not the only one they have ripped off or given poor service to.
