Salsarita's Fresh Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Oak Ridge

A great Mexican restaurant in Oak Ridge, Tn This restaurant is located on the south side of Illinois Ave and just to the west of South Tulane Avenue. It is in a stand-alone building with 2 other stores. The three stores have their fronts facing north toward the street. Salsaritos is the one on the east end of the building. There is plenty of parking around the structure since it sits in the middle of a large parking lot. The restaurant is a typical layout with customers ordering at one side and following their food down the line detailing what they want in their meals and paying at the end. The staff was very friendly and professional. The ingredients were fresh. I ordered a chicken bowl with white rice and black beans with a drink. The prices were reasonable for the economy and the area. They prepared the food quickly and the meal was delicious. The drinks are serve-yourself in the main dining area. The dining area is a mix of tables and booths in the open area between the counter and the windows. The restaurant was clean and well-kept. I've been there a few times and would recommend Moe's Southwest Grill or Barberito's first. Salsarita's has potential but the incompetent staff are what makes it bad. The food is usually just room temperature, they will put random toppings that you don't ask for on your food, and they don't do to-go orders. If you are going to be taking your food with you, bring your own bag as even if you specify "to-go" you are still getting your food on the metal plates that they use which makes it hard to take chips with you and not spill them all over the car - I have a stack of these plates at home and have found many...

Loved My experience First Time Yesterday. Loved it so much I actually went back for lunch today. Lovely place to go out and eat. Nice restaurant environment. Calming and relaxing. The food is great. Staff is friendly and humbly lobeable/likeable people. Very hard working individuals. Will definitely recommend this place. And as an added reason to go they have one of those touch screen soda selection screen machine with alot of choices. From soda to fruit juice to lemonade and it's just wonderful to have so many options. Definitely go in and enjoy...
