This is the perfect spot to stop by to pick up a lunch for a picnic! Though customer service is a bit lacking, the food is pretty tasty. My fiance and I purchased the black forest ham sandwich box with fresh fruit and a peanut butter cookie along with a chicken salad sandwich with potato salad and a chocolate chip cookie. The chicken salad sandwich was great! The perfect combo of chicken and mayo with lettuce. They even added a crunchy pickle and tomatoes on the side. Chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies were delicious too. Very soft like I like them. The ham sandwich was good, but wasn't as great as the rest of the food. Unfortunately we didn't have the opportunity to try the potato salad - we got too full off the large amount of food they give you and didn't have a place to refrigerate it. I wasn't impressed with the customer service here though. The person taking my order took a long time before saying anything to me even though I was the only one inside waiting - they were doing something on the board near the entrance instead. They never said hello to me, just asked me what I wanted then went off to make it. While making my food, an older person came in just to buy a cup of coffee but also wasn't greeted or asked to wait a minute. I wish service was a bit more friendly here because the food is delicious!

Was recommended to try out Jantz Bakery for their breakfast options and their pie by our Airbnb host and honestly? It should be in everyone's breakfast choice! When you enter the store, you're instantly greeted by the wide selection of pies that you will forget that you're actually here for breakfast. We ordered the signature sandwich and went with the oven baked turkey as our choice of protein. But here's the actual tip: go for the sun-dried tomatoes wrap! The sandwich (or should I say wrap) comes with a free side, where i picked the macaroni salad, and a cookie (peanut butter) too. Now remember about the pie? Because we caved in and got ourself the lemon meringue pie and it was definitely the right choice. The tinge of sourness before the sweetness pairs up so well that you just have to take a second bite immediately! And then the next bite.. If you're not in a rush to drive up to Yosemite or back to SF, have your breakfast at the store and enjoy the interaction there!

We stopped there on our way to Yosemite. It was our first time in the US and we wanted to try some American classic pies. They didn't disappoint, far from it. The pies were amazing and so were the shop owners that braved the beginning of the snowstorm to open the bakery. If we ever go back to the US, we'll be happy to taste some other pies.

While their own hospital is overrun run with COVID patients, you’d never know it at this cafe. Went in for lunch and all four employees and three customers were maskless in a tiny bakery. Walked right back out. Looking at the menu online, our group total would’ve been close to $75, but we won’t support businesses who actively support risking others lives. For goodness sakes, it’s a pandemic, wear masks. Your own town might not care, but you’re supported by tourists from other areas who do. It’s no wonder the hospital here is...
