The Alley — Restaurant in Oakhurst

This place has an awesome vibe. I had called in advance to see if they could accommodate a party of 11 and they said they could and asked what time, so it felt like a reservation. So we showed up and the bartender said that he had heard about our party and that we could sit anywhere. But there wasn’t a table for 11, and we couldn’t all sit down. Not only that, they were out of pizza. I wanted to have my birthday dinner here but it ended up forcing us to find somewhere else last minute. Just wish the communication had been more up front about not being able to accommodate us. But it was still a cool place with nice people so I’m only taking off one star. Now that I know it’s a small place, I’ll have my expectations set better...

Great selection of beers on tap (more choice than anywhere I can think of in my hometown with more people in it). They've got a little bit of everything, which I think should cater to just about anyone passing through. Even if beer isn't your thing, there was a good selection of wine available too.

We also sampled a pizza of the day. The crust was delicious and had a great texture, though I feel the toppings could use a bit more thought in pairing some flavours together. All-in-all, however, any criticisms were not enough to dampen our experience. If we were locals, this would easily be our go to spot for...

Such good vibes at this small town establishment. They have great staff, host live bands & have the cutest rustic back yard patio area & artsy stage setting for the awesome musicians they host. There's a rug in front of the stage for folks that want to dance and kids that want to play. They have a small but excellent selection of yummy food & and quite a few nice rotating brews on tap. You will love the feel of this place. And they're dog friendly & very down to earth here! Intimate setting. Met the owners and they're such lovely humans....
