Dumser's Dairyland — Restaurant in Ocean City

Who doesn't love good ice cream? This place is an OC icon and we never miss the chance to enjoy our favorites there. Sometimes a meal (their fried chicken is delicious) but this visit was specifically for sundaes. And oh my, they did not disappoint! My husband lives for the strawberry shortcake sundae which is seasonal. But, as luck would have it, they were still serving them this weekend. To say it is huge is an understatement, but somehow, he manages to finish all of it. My go to is the hot fudge sundae with mint chocolate chip. So yummy. Used to come here with my family every year, NEVER AGAIN. Handed us icecream already dripping over the edge and my 6 year old dropped his cup after trying to keep icecream from dripping down his arm (after only having 2 bites!). :(

The women behind the counter saw him crying and wouldn't replace his SMALL icecream cup, said I would have to pay for another one. Disgusting, horrible customer service.

Something with such an insignificant cost just lead this establishment to losing my lifelong business. I'll be sure to let my family and friends know not to support a business that isn't so family-friendly after all. Management...

Menu is confusing and the staff is rude. Menu says "hand dipped ice-cream" but that doesn't mean dipped in chocolate? Apparently hand dipped ice-cream is just regular ice-cream and if you want it dipped in chocolate you need to ask for it "dipped in chocolate". I'm sure we aren't the first ones to have this problem but the staff (young teenage girls) rolled their eyes and were rude about it, even after I paid the difference to have it fixed. Ice-cream was really good tho. That'd why I gave them 2 stars, unfortunately rude staff brought my rating...
