Soriano's Restaurant & Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Ocean City

Let me begin by saying I unfortunately had a view of the kitchen from my table. All 4 of the cooks had beards. One of the 4 had a beard covering. Gross! Then on to our lovely waitress…it was busy. Busy to me when I was a waitress was good. It meant money. Well our waitress was not happy. Not one smile was cracked and I did not see her eyes once. They only looked at the floor. I even complimented her. Nope not having it. Took our order like let’s go, move it, I don’t have time for this, move! Never checked on us after our meal came, but checked on others. Then it tapered off. Lots of empty tables. Tables that came in after us got their tables cleared and their checks and we sat so long we got hungry again. Either she forgot about us or she hated us. I couldn’t figure out which, because I was nice to her the whole time? The poor bus boy seemed afraid of her and kept giving me sad eyes because we were sitting so long. So first and last trip there. But after seeing no beard coverings in the back and nasty waitresses, definitely never going back. Oh yeah and one of my two over easy eggs was cooked all the way through and their avocados are refrigerated which makes them like mush. Yuck! Scrambled eggs were omelets like a lot of places, but it’s just lazy for a breakfast place.

Edit: I did not leave a note on my credit card bill, so I can only assume there were other customers not happy as well that you are speaking of. I actually did not complain bout waiting for a table sooo…. And I don’t see what a concert of 50k people has to do with a waitress being kind or not? I worked as a waitress in a restaurant that served 50k a night and we were very happy to do so. I also do not want my bill compted. I want...

05/29/22 I came here around 10:45am on Sunday, May 29th. I waited by the door at the hostess stand for about 15 minutes with no response. My husband & I were finally seated & we put our order in right away with our waitress-who never mentioned her name, but was a tan, asain, super-makeup & eyelash wearing girl. She did not bring our drink order of 2 waters for 33 minutes. When our food came out, she realized she had never put in my order. I lost my appetite. The manager came out with a slew of: "it's memorial day weekend" excuses. Do I even need to say she took care of our tab? If she hadn't, that would have just been an extra rotten cherry on the top of this atrocious experience. I understand it is a busy time, & stuff happens-I was a waitress for years...but I could not explain to you how a waitress could do a worse job. She had me at a loss for words. The food that came out was only mediocre. I would highly recommend NOT EVER going to Soriano's Restaurant. Disgusting quality of service. 🤮

If you’re looking for a place with a charming host, staff that pays attention to its customers, and a reasonable turn around time to get a table...this ISN’T it. We waited for over 20min at the door before we were even addressed and asked about a table. Meanwhile there were about 6 tables empty with a floor staff of about 4-5. We then had to wait an additional 30-40min to be seated, then an added 15min until someone came to ask for our order. Meanwhile certain groups of people were being seated sooner than others, while other customers at the door were being if ignored. One gentleman tried to ask the hostess a question and she blew right by him to go outside. Needless to say many people left seeing this treatment as well along with the ridiculous wait time. The hostess’ reason when I asked her if we can simply just sit at one of the empty tables because of a back issue, she said she couldn’t have us seated since she needed to see when one of the waitresses was free. Uhmmmm I’ve been to many eating establishments and the staff to customer ratio there was far better than other places I’ve gone to where the service was excellent compared to theirs and the audacity to give that ridiculous reasoning as if people have not been to a restaurant before. The food wasn’t even that great, definitely not worth the time spent waiting there. I honestly don’t recommend this place but you can try it...
