I'm not sure what to make of this dining experience. Call me old fashioned, but I like to enjoy my meal in the restaurant's dining area. But when I got to the door, I discovered it was locked. I'm a FedEx driver, I spend most of my days behind a wheel. So forgive me if I don't want to eat a meal behind one. And as we are post-Covid lockdown, it's high time that society returns to some normalcy.
But a younger employee saw me at the door and he came over to unlock it. But just as quickly, an older woman sees him unlocking the door and starts berating him. She's insisting that the dining area is messy. I'm including a photo so you can see how spotless it is. And from my order receipt, it appears that I'm the first customer to be rung up at the counter's register. I should probably mention that it's 4pm on a Saturday afternoon. No doubt the drive thru register is in the thousands.
But as I stand at the counter, wanting to take my order, the younger man and the older lady continue to argue. It's almost to the point of yelling. And it's not a great way to make a customer feel comfortable. She's insisting that the dining room is messy, and he's asking: "Why are you yelling at me?" I'm kinda on his side cause the room is clean and she's coming off as bug-nuts.
But I think she's not saying that the dining room "is" messy but it'll become messy if they open the doors to allow diners inside. She would rather limit them to the drive thru only. I'd like to reiterate that I spend all day behind a wheel, and sometimes it's just nice to sit inside a restaurant. And what blows my mind is that she appears to be the manager.
Anyways, the food was average. I didn't really enjoy the dramatics. So it's...
Read moreI went through the drive thru here this morning and encountered a very nasty employee. I'd call her out by name but she refused to give it to me, though she claimed to be the manager. When I drove up to the menu board I was first greeted by the typical "Would you like to try our..." I replied with: "I'd like to use a coupon." The employee replied: "What do you want?" I then asked if she wanted the coupon number, as this is how I have been taught to use a coupon at other Carl's Jr. locations. The employee responded again (this time in a nasty tone): "What do you want!?" I was taken aback by her rudeness. Not that repeating "What do you want?" is overtly rude, but how about "Sure, what can I get for you?" It was the impatient, angry tone that got me. At that point I knew I was not ordering food from that establishment, as I would be worried about it being spit in, or worse. I asked if the manager was available. She replied, "I am the manager!" This time her tone was like, "ha, what are you gonna do now?" Well she wouldn't be the first "manager" I've done business with who thinks they are above giving the level of customer service expected from their subordinates. I asked her name and she refused, deciding instead to kill me with kindness saying, "Have a nice day!" I asked for the phone number for restaurant owner. Again, "Have a nice day!" Well guess what, I will find the phone number to the owner or corporate offices because that level of rudeness was ridiculous and...
Read moreYes it is under new management AND THEY ARE WORSE!!!! I sat there waiting at the counter to order for over 5 mins.! I would have been waiting longer, but the bell for the drive thru rang because a customer had come. And instead of helping me when the employee had seen me, she skips right over me (even though I had been waiting there for 5 minutes and was obviously first!) And helped ALL of the drive thru customers, because more had showed up while she was taking the first order, instead of even AT THE VERY LEAST help me after she had helped the first drive thru customer. Than several times when I got my order to go the gravy was all over the inside of the bag, and and another tine the gravy was clumpy and had ball of powdered gravy mix, and NONE of the times they would answer the phone so I could bring it to their attention. And last, but not least, I ordered my food and waited until 3 customers after me had received their food before I received mine! And all of their orders contained biscuits the same as mine so therw should have been NO reason for them to get their food first! And NOT EVEN upper management at the corporate office would do amything to remedy the situation! WORST RESTAURANT EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! And possibly worst restaurant chain as well!!!! Good way to treat your...
