Copper Nickel Events — Local services in Ogden

I highly recommend that you keep looking for a venue. While Copper Nickel is an absolutely beautiful venue, they are terrible to work with. I booked my date with them and paid my deposit, a couple weeks later, I got a phone call saying that they had an issue with their booking system and they accidentally double booked my date. I was really bummed that this happened, but I was very understanding, and I was okay with this, I had plenty of notice as my wedding isn't until next year. When I told another venue about what happened, they mentioned that they had other brides who had Copper Nickel tell them they double booked their dates too, I didn't think too much of it, until the other day. A friend booked their wedding with Copper Nickel over 1 year in advance with them, they just called her (5 months after booking) and told her that someone messed up and double booked her date. She already had most of her vendors booked, and now she has to hope that she can find the date she wanted, or at the very least, find a date that works for all of her vendors at a new venue. I believe that there is something more happening here. I wish that I had looked into this venue before booking them (not that it matters since our date was "double booked") it sounds like the owner is an absolute nightmare, and since I have talked to others about my experience, they have told me nothing but terrible things about this place. This was my favorite part of planning my wedding. Ashley the coordinator and I became almost instant friends, and she made my reception here so easy! They take care of all the set up, bussing tables, making sure things go smoothly, the decorating (you can provide your own if you want, but they have lots of great options already), AND they clean up afterwards. All I had to do was arrive and party with my friends and loved ones.

This was seriously an unforgettable experience. I love the downtown Historic Ogden charm with the exposed brick and the industrial style beams, they strung them with lights and fresh greenery that made the place smell great!

We put up a slideshow of our childhoods, and played Just Dance on their big screen and my guests loved it! The sound system is perfect and there was lots of room to dance. Plus they had a "kid corner" with activites and coloring pages (genius) that the kids went nuts over. It really made the place feel like everyone was welcome.

If I was reviewing the gal on the acrostraps and lyra, it would be a 5 star review. She knows her stuff and is an incredible performer! I have added the video because she is absolutely phenomenal! Unfortunately, for the rest of the night, the best I can come up with is a glamorous dumpster fire. The acoustics were atrocious, and the host and hostess continued to yell into the mic despite its being turned way up, thus resulting in absolute chaos! The pizza and botox advertisements during big band music and a "roaring 20's" performance was very weird..the setup and inability to see the performers was very frustrating..finally instead of having bar tenders and servers everyone was reduced to standing in 45 min lines further impeding the performance. Despite my best efforts I could find no info on the event or what to expect and while they could have had venmo set up to tip the performers, they chose to beg for tips in cash and have patrons constantly getting up to toss dollars at the stage.
