I've been to this location several times over the last few years, and it's usually great, however my experience yesterday was so sub-par I feel the need to write a review. For the record, I'm pretty easy going and far more inclined to leave a good review than a negative one, this trip tipped that scale however. For starters the restaurant was a mess, from the countertops to the prep area, there were puddles of sour cream and pieces of leftover vegetables and cheese everywhere. (even the trash cans were overflowing) The gentleman in front of me watched as they dragged his tortilla through piles of mysterious leftover substances, on the line surface, only to be given a puzzled look when he asked for a new one. While this was going on two to three people came in for to-go pickup orders, only to find out none were ready. The same people were still waiting long after we sat with our meals. I can confirm at least one of them just left frustrated without their order and I suspect another just grabbed a random bag sitting there and left with whatever was inside. I mistakenly ordered the barbacoa and watched as they pulled the last remaining bits out of the swirling grease in the pan. (this one is on me though, I should have told them to bring a new pan out, sorry stomach..) That brings me to the final piece of the review, the fact that nothing mentioned above should have been an issue. Why you may ask? Well, because we counted over ten employees "working" during our visit. I'm sure there are a lot of things going on behind the scenes in the kitchen, however I suspect less the half of it was work related. It was not uncommon to see three to four people just standing on their phones or talking out front, so I can only imagine what was going on in the back. There were four of us in my group and you'd be hard pressed to hear anyone say anything positive about the trip. I gave this review two stars, one because they were actually open when advertised, and two because we actually all got food. As we left we saw a line of people waiting to order and not a single worker waiting on them. This seemed to nicely sum up the entire experience. There's...
Read moreSo much bad! I love chipotle and will eat it regardless, so this is not a review on chipotle’s food or business model. This is a review on this location, which every visit is just as bad as last. If you ever feel crumby because you didn’t put your best foot forward that day, just go to this chipotle and I can assure you, you will see people who have never put their best foot forward EVER! There’s one or two workers who you can tell are working hard and trying to pick up the slack for the rest and they look just as frustrated with their coworkers as the customers standing in the line, which is always back to the door.
Typically every restaurant has a dirty table or two during a rush. Totally fine! On this occasion we arrived just before the rush… only two people in line… so there was definitely ample down time to tidy the place up. But!, I kid you not, every single table was dirty. And the floor… and the trash, and the soda fountain, and the bathrooms, and (worst of all) the food line. Disgusting. Here me when I say, this experience is the rule not the exception.
So I step up to order (at a food counter that I would bet breaks more health codes than keeps) and there is one employee making the burritos. We get to the queso… and it’s out. Just then someone brings out a fresh batch. The girl takes the ladle, encrusted with a build up of layers from each batch gone by, scrapes the last tiny bit of old gross queso into the new fresh queso, and it makes me wonder… how many times has this happened today? I mean the crust encircling the top of the ladle is a good inch in diameter. How many times? How much of the very first batch of queso made that day is going into this new queso? One things for sure I definitely don’t want queso on my burrito today. All this and...
Read moreThe worst experience I’ve ever had at a chipotle ever ! I have never seen an entire staff manager included disregard an entire line of customers. When I entered the location it was only two other person ahead of me . I figured it would be quick but I was wrong . I realized the line was at a stand still even with 4 visible employees there. There was an off duty employee purchasing food ahead of us at the register and they were engaging and laughing with him so much so that the growing line of customers did not matter. With 4 employees right there it was only 1 making orders he was going between the hot food and toppings very slowly as he was more interested in talking to his coworkers as well.. meanwhile 4 minutes go by and he’s still on the same bowl because he was talking and moving unrealistically slow .. to the point where I asked was anyone going to help him .. he continued on and ignored me .. meanwhile the line grew to around 5 more people behind me .. I waited and waited and watched them laugh chat and not care. The manager was present this I know because she was asking the off duty employee to come work .. they all ignored the line and continued their loud conversation like it wasn’t customers waiting .. I finally left because after 7 minutes with 5 employees only and only 2 people in front of me I still hadn’t been served and was almost late to work ..this was the worst experience I ever had and I can’t believe a manager was there and involved in this this is...
