Those of you who know me know? I spend a lot of time at the scissortail park and downtown Oklahoma City tonight. I went to the park to walk my dog. There were many people there parked on the West side of the park. And as well as homeless people sleeping on benches. I proceed to walk my dog with my daughter. I was approached by 2 officers on a cart who claimed that the park closed at 11 and I explained. I had never been informed this before. It had never been a problem that I was there walking and I apologized and was told that I was being rude and I was threatened to be taken. Can to jail for trespassing? Then my daughter proceeded to walk off and he called her disrespectful and I apologized for her. He then told me mam, The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I responded that he doesn't know me and is being rude. I hope that his boss or someone who can get this to his boss. I'm 5ft 2 and 116lbs, not a threat at all. I hope He's treated the same way that he treats the guests of a park. On top of that He did not approach anyone else. I stayed and watched as he drove straight past all of the vehicles and all of the people standing outside in the park. He only harassed myself and my daughter. We were doing nothing other than walking our two dogs on the sidewalk. I have no problem being informed, my problems are with equality and fair treatment. I was given neither as ask other guests weren't asked to leave or even approached. My dogs are well behaved and never even barked when two strangers (the officers) approached, and they shared the problem was me being there after hours not my dogs. I'm reporting this behavior in the morning to the...

Read moreSuch a unique spot! I knew nothing about the park before going and was pleasantly surprised. I had a girlfriend and her daughter visiting from out of town and wanted to get outdoors to enjoy the great weather on a warm fall afternoon. The mix of folks enjoying the park was nice, families with young kids utilizing the covered picnic tables for birthday parties, couples out for a stroll on probable first dates, everyone young and old were enjoying the spacious grounds. Nice playground for the littles, Rock climbing wall for anyone brave enough, paddle boats, nice walking trails, beautiful downtown skyline view, restrooms were nice and clean, easy access from highway and parking. We brought our dog & were surprised to see so many others did as well. I'm not sure if there are dog potty stations anywhere, I brought our own poopie bags. Several times I did come across piles left by others, this was the only negative about the experience. Food truck vendors have the perfect spot to park with plenty of picnic tables and benches throughout the space. We all enjoyed our visit & will...
