Riviere Modern Banh Mi — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

I ended up here for the first time today with my one of my closest friends. We were struggling with figuring out what to eat and he suggested coming here. I am so glad that I came!

First, our waitress, Hanya was amazing. She was kind. She was funny. She shared some great stories. Most importantly though, she was attentive and knew the menu. She was able to answer questions including: what’s most popular, what her opinions were and what other customers opinions were. She was quick, thoughtful & when I forgot I asked for sauce containers - she remembered and came right back with the sauce containers.

Second, the food is absolutely delicious. This is a gem of a location & I regret taking so long to come. I got the Miss Sigon Banh Mi and Lettuce Wraps. My friend got the chicken wings and chicken teriyaki with green beans. Everything was perfect. I loved the lettuce wraps & took my leftovers and ate them for dinner today. The chicken came out warm. The sandwich was delightful. Everything was cooked perfectly and rich in flavor.

Third, the atmosphere is great. It’s clean, trendy and welcoming. There’s awesome specials including Thursday Tacos! And on Tuesdays they run a $25 special for two banh mi and sides. Whole today is Monday, I’ll be sure to come back and try those specials.

Finally, it’s well priced. With the quality of food, quantity and the amazing wait staff, it’s very well priced.

From the moment we sat down, Nick made our dining experience unforgettable. He struck the perfect balance of being attentive without ever feeling intrusive. His warm personality, genuine smile, and clear knowledge of the menu instantly made us feel welcome and confident in our choices.

Nick didn’t just take our order — he guided us through the menu, offering thoughtful recommendations that were spot-on. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, kept our drinks full, and checked in at just the right moments to ensure everything was perfect.

What truly stood out was his professionalism paired with an easygoing charm. You could tell he genuinely cared about making our night special. In a world where great service can be hard to find, Nick reminded us how much it elevates the entire dining experience.

We left Rivere full, happy, and already planning our next visit — and it’s safe to say we’ll be requesting Nick again. He’s a true asset to the restaurant and a big reason we’ll...

WOWWWW!! This place is AMAZING! Every dish that I've tried at this restaurant is top notch! The service is great as well. Very friendly and inviting. But this food y'all....don't sleep on this place! We've had: Pho'Rench Dip Bhan Mi, Miss Saigon Banh Mi, Yellow Curry, Teriyaki Chicken, K*POP Bahn Mi, the Bulgogi and Fried Cod tacos, French Fries and the Tomato Curry Bisque. Top 3 easily were the Yellow Curry, Miss Saigon and the Bulgogi Taco. That being said, they were all amazing! These pictures do not do it justice. Everything is so flavorful and juicy. Also of note, you can get fries anywhere, and probably enjoy them, but HERE...so worth the extra calories! I have not been disappointed by anything at this place. Just for added layers, it's located in a great part of Midtown, has additional parking in the rear, and the atmosphere on the inside is so inviting and relaxing. Please add this place to your next stop of new finds. It's by far, my new favorite restaurant...
