Review continues to be removed for only true statements. They will ignore your attempts for resolution with issues and charge you late fees while waiting for a response. The corporate office will not receive certified mail to avoid taking any accountability for their employees. The water gets shut off at least twice a week. The laundry facilities caught fire and they did not have it back running for several months’ contrary to management response, never offering anything to make up for ruined clothing or the cost of having to go to a laundromat off site. The laundry facilities were having problems well before the fire and multiple work orders had been placed by at least myself about the dryers melting clothing and charging your account without running a cycle. The fire could have been avoided; they were aware of the defects. The elevators are being worked on more often than are working and people have gotten stuck on them. You will regularly be waiting 20 mins for an elevator. The loading dock for moving in an out is dangerous and the steel ramp shoots out of the holder and drops over 6 feet. It weighs well over 200lbs. When I talked to the leasing agent about it, he started yelling at me and only stopped because my boyfriend showed up during the altercation. Last summer they repainted it and added guardrail to the dock, but the major safety issue is still present. The hallways always smell terrible and all they do is spray air freshener that lasts a few hours despite multiple work orders. There are dog feces all over the ground on the property and it had never been cleaned up the entire time I lived here. If I had been told the correct information when I had inquired about a lease take-over back on November 28th, I would have paid the buyout, no problem but I was misinformed by multiple staff members on company policy. I had a lawyer review my contract, it is written to allow them to misinform you and only have to uphold it if they release an official addendum to your contract. (They can legally lie to you) The only reason I had even inquired about a takeover was to see if there was an option to do so. I could have moved out at that time. I could have put my things in my storage unit and stayed with my boyfriend until I closed on my house on Dec 15th. I was told on January 2nd that I could no longer do that, I asked to speak with property manager, and she never returned my call. They said, they would do their best to rent it out if I turned in my keys and 60-day notice. The property manager was aware of what I had been told by multiple leasing agents and never said anything to clarify until it was the day that I would conveniently be contractually obligated to pay the remainder of my lease in full. They have continued to charge me rent while renovating my unit for a rent increase. I know this is true because the unit wasn't listed on the website and it was only added after I said something about it, but the photos are of a different unit, the layout orientation is completely different and it is shown to be available at the end of my lease, even though they have had full possession for a month. I had it professionally cleaned and they said it was ready to rent. The property manager intentionally put me in a position to be forced to continue to pay rent while they were doing updates because they have lots of vacancies. The main reason there are some positive reviews on this platform is because they offer tenants to be entered into drawings to possibly win perks for google reviews. For anyone that would like to see written paper trail of proof, of any events listed. I’ll gladly share. If you must rent here read the contract in detail and redline any items that need revision to protect yourself and make sure the property manager releases an addendum to your contract before signing, an addendum is the only legally binding agreement with their airtight contract. Even agreements made in writing will not hold up, only an addendum to...
Read moreThe only reason I even gave one star is because I can't post this review without assigning one. If you're looking for a place to live downtown, this is not it. The staff, management, and even corporate are rude, argumentative, and do not care about your safety. I was trapped in my bedroom for almost 9 hours because my door did not fit, so it got stuck. The phone number for the building did not work, so I couldn't get a hold of anyone. The staff did not tell me there was an emergency maintenance number or a number for security when I moved in, but there was. I found this out from a security officer after I was finally rescued. The staff still didn't tell me about these numbers after I was rescued. The staff, management, corporate...nobody checked back in with me after this traumatic life endangering incident happened. Not even to follow up or anything! My door wasn't fixed either. They didn't come back to fix it for an alarming 41 days!!
Even people who have left good reviews here have complained to me about living here, so don't be fooled! There are contests for good reviews, so the property will ask/compel residents to leave good reviews in exchange for things. So, they're not all real.
There is one side of the front doors to the building that are always open, so anyone can get in. They recently found a person squatting in the gym and a vacant apartment...they never secured the apartment.
The laundry room is always dirty, smells like pot and cigarettes, and costs money. The card machine where you have to buy a laundry card is broken a lot too. The mail is also in this room.
Parking is a headache and the staff will not help you with that.
The elevators are going out as well; the building often has no operational elevators, so you have to use the stairs. That's a lot of flights of stairs to go up and down! Not to mention the older residents and residents in need of the elevator.....they get stuck in their apartments due to that.
UPDATE: Notice the owner's response to my review here. Nothing about apologizing for my traumatic incident or my horrible experience.....their only concern was the review contest. Thank you for proving my point so everyone can see just how little you care about the people living in your building. Also, that number they provided in their response was the number I called when I was trapped in my bedroom that did not work. I sincerely hope people stop renting here because this is nothing.....it's...
Read moreI highly recommend this place for a number of reasons below. I have lived here almost a year now and there is no reason I don't want to extend my lease.
📍Location It is located cental downtown area. The convenience the regency gives when it comes to location is unmatchable. Simply put, everything is within 5min - grocery, restaurants, coffee shops and banks.
📍Security The building is secured 24/7 with the security guard and the electronic fob. As a female tenant I feel very safe living here.
📍Management Team The previous management was great, but the new management team's performance is outstanding. (Tribune Capital Management) They are willing to communicate with tenants 24/7 and whenever there is an undesirable issue they do not hide it from tenants, but rather address the issue and update the process. Work fast and accordingly based on tenants' requests.
📍Community The regency has an amazing gym which will save your future costs to register the gym. It has various lifts machines and cardio machines. It also has a nice view so you will enjoy your time at the gym. Moreover, the regency provides complimentary beverages to tenants including nice hot coffee, tea, hot chocolates, etc which will also help you save a lot of money from coffee shops. Furthermore, the regency offers diverse mixers for the tenants inclduing movie nights. Many employees working at the down town areas or grad students live in the complex so it is a great networking for tentnats.
📍Budget With all these reasons above, the regency provides very affordable price for living. Compared to other apartments with the same zone, the regency provides much more affordable costs while the services and facilities remain best. Moreover, the regency has a wide number of options from studio to three beds so new tenants can have a great number of options based on their needs.
If you are looking for an affordable, safe and convenient place to live in, the regency is for you and do not miss the opportunity of the April event (no registration...
