Schlotzsky's — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

⚠️POOR REPRESENTATION OF THIS LONGTIME POPULAR RESTAURANT.🛑 I'm very familiar with Schlotzsky's for nearly five decades. This location started out great for the initial years, but has declined in several areas. Yukon deserves better. The task are difficult, yet neglect and substandard poor quality is rampant for a while as of 8/25, which is why I revisited my review to change it from what used to be a positive encouraging post.

● Poor attitude and lacking work ethic. ● Establishment is being ruined.

Repeated incompetence in food preparation. The layers of sliced meats lazily clumped in the middle of the large sandwich instead of laying out evenly. If the name of the salad includes the word avocado, the meal should include avocado without requiring customers to ask why it's missing! Of the eight tables we considered seating ourselves at, all were unkempt with debris obviously scattered on the table tops and seats, while no customers were in the drive-through with only 3 customers inside, and at least four employees, two of which were only jawjabbing as they leaned against a wall. They don't want the job or appreciate it. The floors were filthy, the grounds lacking.

After repeat disappointments, we are done. A terrific brand being mismanaged and misrepresented....

I placed my order through the Uber Eats app, and intended on picking it up while out running errands. I really should have just parked and went inside, because the drive-through took quite a long time. What's worse is one of my sandwiches was missing. This is why I always check the bag before I drive away! I got back in the drive-through line (my mistake again) and got someone else on the speaker to take my order. I informed her of something missing, and she asked me to pull ahead. She took back the whole bag, (which was unexpected as I thought that was possibly unsanitary), and promised me new fresh sandwiches. I waited a bit longer at the front of the store, still in my car, and she ran out with my bag and all my items. I appreciated her kindness and her swiftness in correcting the issue. I know the bag was not replaced entirely as the same pickle juice was leaking out the bottom, but I did have fresh & warm sandwiches. I enjoyed my lunch that day at home, as I always love...

Apparently they are short handed so don’t go in thinking you will get great service or food. The lobby doors were open but they had signs taped to the register saying lobby is closed. Very confusing. We were eventually waited on but the employee was very short with us and not real friendly. Then another customer came in and wasn’t waited on at all and she ended up leaving. The roast beef appeared to be old. The meat was a shiny green color with a slight foul odor. It reminded us of fish scales. It was very appalling. We decided to eat on the patio as it was nice outside and ended up being locked out. Food and service were absolutely horrible. Corporate should be stepping in when locations are short handed to ensure customers are still receiving quality food...
