Wow, these folks are awesome! Shop here! They truly care for their customers.
The Cashier was extremely professional, courteous and kind. I didn't have a shopping cart as I didn't have any change with me. A foolish oversight.
I was carrying very, very heavy laundry soap and fabric softener and was struggling. Without missing a beat . . . she excused herself from the person in front of me . . . and gave me "her cart" which is normally filled up by the clerk as the customer checks out.
I'm 100% handicapped with pins in both shoulders along with other bone repairs including a dbl knee transplant. I rodeo'd for 30 years and now my aging body is paying for the multiple fractures and broken bones, strains and sprains which cause me (sometimes) to faulter doing "everyday activities."
I was wearing a sleeveless dress and the scars on both my arms were visable. I believe it's because of that and my obvious struggle that she took the time to stop everything for a minute and helped me.
I truly was grateful and felt very blessed. I feel she went "above and beyond" even noticing my struggle. I "wish" I'd gotten her name and may drive back there and find out not only "who she is," but let management know what a valuable employee she is.
Please, shop here! You just may be fortunate enough to have her "SEE" you from the crowd she must work with each n every shift! This experience was an 11, on a scale of...
Read moreI love Aldi, and this one is WAY better than the one on 23rd, but I've had to knock it down a couple stars for two main reasons.
The first is they were great for awhile, but now it is often like the 23rd store in that advertised items often don't come in on time, they sometimes don't come in until the following week or even two weeks later. Thankfully it is a much closer drive, but I stopped going to the one on 23rd even before this one was built because it just wasn't worth the gas to get there and find that half the advertised items "weren't on the truck".
Second, you can get some really great values on items that didn't move as fast as they thought they would when they get marked down, but only if they remember to change the cash register as well as the signs. Too many times now I have caught an item ringing up at something other than the posted price, and the excuse is always "the computer must not have updated the price". Uh huh. How about you update the computer BEFORE posting the new signs then. Problem solved.
Fix these two issues and we're...
Read moreI frequently shop at the Yukon Aldi, and have always had a great experience there. On Monday February 19, I went grocery shopping there, and when I came home and started unbagging my groceries, I noticed a can of tomato soup was leaking a tiny bit from the top. I noticed it looked like a little worm was crawling on top of the can, so I decided to open it, and when I did the entire can of tomato soup was full of little white maggots. It was disgusting. I had bought two cans, so I opened the other one just to check and it was fine, so I am hoping that somehow just that one can was contaminated. I tried to reach out to Aldi customer support and could not get anyone to answer the phone. I also tried to contact them by filling out their online support form, but when I tried to submit it a pop up appeared saying my submission appeared to be a phishing attempt and to try again later. Anyway, I don't want anyone else to get a can of tomato soup full of maggots, so maybe just...
