This popular chain restaurant has been a nice option for about two decades for us, with its rudtic log cabin Country Western decor and laid back casual atmosphere. The ribs have always been, in my opinion, a 7.5 out of 10, but I suspect this popular restaurant could slow down the process the ribs might be more like what Billy Sims BBQ joint provides. There are several nice menu options that are quite pleasing. Management has recently dealt with the cell-phone obsessed teeny-booper poor work ethic problem to make service a premium experience in line with the premium price. The experience is much nicer than the typical BBQ restaurant joint and we definitely recommend Rib Crib over most options for functions that perhapd more demanding than the simple in & out grab some tasty grub places. The all you can cramm specials have been a crowd pleaser with the Lincoln Town car drivers, but I'm not sure that option is still offered. Very conveniently located near lots of various stores and other town businesses including hotels, as well as being situated about a 1/4 mile south of an I-40 exit. Yukon is the best OKC suburb option before moving through or after having moved through the big city with plenty of options and accommodations. Clean and maintained with a good police presence. Keep in mind that there's a Braums just down the street to the north for local homemade ice cream options, if the Crib big cobblers...
Read moreI visit Rib Crib at multiple locations at least once a month. This visit didn't start as pleasantly as I hoped. I ordered my normal and it included the pulled pork and Turkey. My dad ordered the same. Our food arrived and as I began eating, the meat just wasn't that great. Then I took a bite of the pulled pork and got a mouthful of fat and lost my appetite. The same thing happened to my dad. I mentioned to the waitress, Matteah, that I couldn't eat the meal and asked for a replacement. She handled it with grace, took my plate and brought me what I needed, which was much better. My father shared that the pulled pork was pretty fatty. Matteah stated that she would share that feedback with the kitchen manager. A few minutes later, Michael, the kitchen manager appeared at our table to talk about the issue. He naturally apologized and offered a discount. However, how he handled the rest made all the difference. We told him that we'd be glad to pay and it wasn't necessary. He stated that comping some of the meal was his way of thanking us for the candid feedback. He said he couldn't make sure it was great for everyone else if he didn't know when there is a problem. Matteah and Michael saved us as a Rib Crib customer tonight. It's okay for mistakes to happen, but when you handle it that well, you can change...
Read moreWas told RibCrib had best barbecue ribs in town. Disputing that I will add I appreciate Billy Sims ribs better, could be just personal preference. Ordered a half rack of ribs with a side of beans, cob of corn, side salad, and sweet tea. Salad was not typical lettuce but huge leafy greens not well cut and difficult to eat, very small diced up tomatoes in the bottom of a huge bowl. Worst salad I’ve ever been served. Our waitress did not ask what dressing we would like instead automatically served ranch dressing and we had to ask for something different. Ribs were tender and falling off the bone but was served to us dry and again we had to ask for barbecue sauce. Side beans not very tasty in comparison to Billy Sims beans. Side of corn on the cob was overcooked and mushy. Waitress was friendly and attentive to beverage refills. Needs more attention to asking customers what options they prefer for salad dressing and barbecue sauce. Dining room was not too busy even with a sign claiming they were shortstaffed and service may take longer but we were served pretty quickly. Not a terrible dining experience even though we had to ask for our options. Still in my opinion Billy Sims barbecue is better tasting and...
