On Sunday 01/21/2024, my daughter wanted to take me to Colton’s for my upcoming birthday and to eat some fresh rolls with the honey and butter. The waiter brought us the one plate of rolls and we ate them in a timely manner. She placed an appetizer order and while we were waiting we wanted some more rolls. He said they’ll be out shortly, and we waited and waited. We asked him again and he went somewhere and brought back a basket of rolls the size of a small tangerine. They were warm and when we opened them to butter them they were doughy. A female manager brought the appetizer order and I asked her if she could take the rolls back because they were raw inside and if they could be replaced with another basket,..she said it would be about 10 minutes.Well, about 25 minutes had passed and no rolls, so we asked the waiter several more times and he said they’ll have to put some more in the oven. Finally I asked him again and he had the same excuse and I called him back and told him what the female manager said, which was “some will be ready in 10 minutes”. He the; walked off aggressively and within seconds brought back a basket of rolls, but instead of him taking his time to sit them on the table he with an attitude practically threw the rolls on the edge of the table as he was walking by without saying anything and he did want us to ask for anything. I asked another waiter for the Manager. A male manager came to the table and I informed him what had happened and he was nonchalant about the matter and said I’ll discuss this with him. I said “ I didn’t know that there was a one basket limit”. The white family at the table in front of us who had the same waiter asked for another basket of rolls and there was no excuse, he went right alone and immediately brought them a basket of rolls and placed them nicely on the table. The manager offered no apology for the terrible experience that my daughter and I had received. We ordered two Hawaiian ribeyes, but when we tasted it,.. they were not good at all , the steaks were tough and the sauce was watered down, It was a below average we didn’t continue eat there, we asked for a to go box so we could season them at home. After I spoke with the male manager he stood there at the front of the welcoming stand watching us as if we were going to run out without paying. I almost felt as though we were being discriminated against.. The entire first time experience for me was appalling. It upset my daughter also ,although she’s been there before, but this was her first time experiencing this type of treatment. I despise being mistreated somewhere where I choose to spend my hard earned money. I enjoy giving tips to the ones that respect me as a customer. I tip wherever I go and I always tip well, but I was forced to not tip him because of his bad , and disrespectful attitude. The male manager also was interested in my complaint. I had to give a star in order to leave a comment. The service and the food was...
Read moreMy husband and I went to Coltons for lunch today. He had Hawaiian Chicken and I had a steak lunch salad (which isn't on the lunch menu but when I asked the server verified it is available). We both enjoyed our food. However, I want to praise the server. Her name is April and she was outstanding. I was a server for many years and it is rare these days to have a server to their job entirely. She greeted us within 30 seconds, she checked that we were pleased with our food after the first bite and she delivered our check timely without being asked. I was trained in these methods and I'm very happy to see some people still follow that standard of service. GREAT JOB APRIL!!!
My husband I went today for lunch and it was a huge bust. The hostess behaved as if we had personally offended her by walking in the door. No name, she was a black pregnant woman. The server did not know anything I asked her about the menu. My sprite was all carbonation. She didn't know how to remedy that so she just didn't. She sat in a booth and looked at her phone instead. I had to keep asking for a new one and she eventually brought one out and said, they figured out the problem, it needed a new "thing". Figured it out? Of course it needed a new jug. I could have replaced it for you and gotten my sprite 20 minutes ago. Did she think the sprite came from a never ending natural spring? She was all together not a good server. Obviously irritated when asked for things. She got my husbands side salad wrong and when we asked her to fix it because he doesnt eat cheese, I thought she was going to lose it. She didn't seem to have any training whatsoever. No name again. Short white girl, with black hair, on the chubby side. Sorry, I don't say that part to be mean. Being a server is not something people just know how to do. She needed training badly. But if you do not want to serve your customer, don't become a server. She really just wanted us to leave her alone so she could look...

My friend and I visited this restaurant on a Saturday around 4:00. It was not busy or packed. We were seated around 4:00, we arrived a little bit before 4:00. The atmosphere was definitely a steakhouse vibe, Logan's or Texas Roadhouse resemblance, but older. The hostess seemed confused, but finally was able to seat us. Our waiter, honestly was great, as far as personality. However, there were some concerns. Our order was taken, drinks came out and rolls. We ordered our food and we ordered appetizers. The waiter came around 4:25 and stated that since the appetizer was taken so long, he would go ahead and key in our order so that they can come out at the same time. This was ridiculous! Anyway, 10 minutes later, the appetizer comes out. At this point, it's around 4:30. We had to leave because my friend had to be at work at 5:00. He passed by to check on us and asked where my friend went. I commented and said he went to change clothes because he had to go to work. He said, oh well let me get your food. He brings our food out at 4:50, which is 10 minutes before 5:00. We spent the next 12 minutes having to pack the food up in to go boxes, getting the check, and bags so that we could leave. We ended up leaving at about 5:05.
I'm not going to say this was the worst experience ever, I just believe that professional development needs to take place so that customers are not inconvenienced in this way. We did not have a majorly big party and even if we did, choosing to wait to key in our orders especially that long of a wait was not necessary. The food ended up being really good but the service was...
