So was going to try this place out for lunch today. Went in and no one was at the counter. There were two couples there and I asked one of the young ladies if someone was taking orders as looks like they were already eating their food. She advised she was actually standing there to let them know there was no tissue in the restroom and mentioned she had been standing there for a while. She eventually leaves. I then stand by the register and saw a young man in the back leaning on the counter playing on his phone. He saw me and then move over behind the wall so that I could not see him. But I still could. Really, okay. So I stood there maybe another 5 minutes because I really wanted to try a Ramen bowl for the first time. One of the gentlemen that was sitting down eating came to the counter because he needed a carry out bowl, he said looks like he see you now (because he saw I was standing there for a minute) so he should be coming, I told him he saw me before and he is still standing there on his phone. So at this point, forget the Ramen, I left and went somewhere else to eat. Don't know who runs this place, but your employees did not come out to say just a minute or anything. There was another young man (employee) a met coming in going out with a dolly. So when I saw him come back in, I asked him was he taking orders and thought maybe he was the order taker guy. Nope, he walked passed me, went to the back, did who knows what but never came out to take my order or sent anyone to the front. So I will definitely not be back to this establishment. Big...
Read moreWe were greeted upon arrival to the counter. I mentioned to the girl taking the orders that it was our first visit, and asked how we go about ordering and such. She pointed to the clipboards on the wall, and told us to fill them out. Nothing additional to help, and we were the only ones waiting to order. Her and the other girl behind the counter were VERY preoccupied with their cell phones and gabbing and laughing with each other. After figuring out what to do to order, I gave her the slips, she reviewed them and rang me up. (Pretty pricey, BTW. Airport prices!) After waiting several minutes, she called our number. I was thinking "That's fast!". When I got to the counter, she advised me that they were out of spicy tuna, and only one serving of spicy salmon was available (we both ordered salmon and tuna). Asked me what do I want instead. As she and the other gal seemed put off with having to actually work and provide some form of attention to the customer, I decided to cancel my entire order and get refunded. She should have told me it was unavailable when I ordered!!!! The container was RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER!
The lobby was freezing cold, and there was an incessant clunk-clunk-clunk from the motorized ramen display.
Can't speak to the food as it was not available, thus one star for not having something that's on...
Read morePoke World my old friend... been coming to this location since it opened and I've never been disappointed. I've probably been here 50 times. The ramen is actually super top quality, I've not been to any other ramen restaurant in the south that tastes as good as this. I regularly get the poke bowls too. A perfect option if you want a healthy, high protein meal. They're always fresh, tasty, AND PACKED TO THE BRIM! for a a very reasonable price too. (around $12-13). The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is pretty friendly, one time they even offered me a half dozen of their mochi donuts for free while I was dining in because they were gonna toss them to make a fresh batch. I was overjoyed because the mochi donuts are a favorite of mine. Also if you're ever curious about their appetizers, you have got to try the shrimp shumai. My boyfriend and I get them every time we go together.
My one genuine critique is that I implore the staff to clean the bathroom a little more thoroughly!! Still love this place, but I try to avoid that...
