Pulled into parking lot this morning around 7:00 a.m.; which was empty except for an employee's car. Lights on in empty lobby. Lights lit up on menu board in empty drive thru line. Was relieved at first that no one on the other end greeted and asked if I was ready to order because I needed a little time to figure it out. Figured out what I was going to order after about three minutes or so. Still no one on speaker asking me for my order. I called out "Hello" a few times--still nothing. Thought possibly they may not be open until I saw the sign in the window listing their hours of operation which stated they opened at 6:30 a.m. Still no one. Call out "Hello" a few times--nothing. Park the car and enter the unlocked lobby door. The entire lobby was like a ghost town with the exception of about 10 full garbage bags parked in front of front counter. I hear voices coming from the back of the counter; I wait. Still no one, so I call put "Hello" a few times until a nice young man appears and walks toward the garbage bags to get ready to take them out. He politely informs me that the lobby was closed. I apologized and inform him all of the above; in which he replies, 'I'm sorry miss." I thank him and get back into my car and enter the drive thru for the second time. still no one at speaker box or drive up window. Pulled out of drive thru and headed to McDonald's; pulled in their parking lot and pulled back out and headed back to back to Wendy's. Parking lot still empty this entire time. After pulling into the parking lot, I saw the same nice young man that I had spoken with. Told him that I was going elsewhere to pick up breakfast. He once again apologized. Puzzled, he said, "I thought I heard them taking your order." I let him know that, "No, no one had taken my order." I pulled back up to the speaker and loudly shouted out, "HELLO" a few times. Hearing no greeting, acknowledgment; no nothing, I blare my horn. Still nothing. Pulled up to the drive up window and did the exact same thing I had at the speaker. Still nothing. All of the above occurred in a half an hours time. With no time left, I headed to Burger King and was very satisfied with the service I received. To do us all a favor, my suggestion to this particular Wendy's (Harrison Ave, West Olympia, Wa), is to:
Save time and just drive to Wendys off sleater kinney lacey. The you will have your food faster even with the drive included, then how long it takes the west side Olympia wendys. Service here is extremely slow each time I have gone. Your time will be a minimal 30 minutes for fast food sometimes longer. The website doesn't not reflect the true closing time which says 11pm when they close at 10pm. So when they close they just leave you sitting at the intercome waiting to order even though you have been sitting at the menu intercom way before closing, thus I was in line before 930pm. They don't inform you nor do they even shut the menu lights off. There was a huge line of people who had also been waiting way before closing to get through. Painfully each car in line takes up to 10 min to move. When I called and inquired why I had waited over 30 min in line and at the menu border to order before closing they could just say sorry instead they had 8 other cars waiting. Again website says they would be open for another hour. All this brought up to them and All they could say was sorry it is not in our control what the website says and when we decide to close we don't feel we should have to say anything, that you the customer should get the hint they will no longer serve food to anybody by just not speaking to you anymore. They literally said this. I sat there because previous experience in how long it takes and how slow the employees are I thought it was just...
Read moreAs a Wendy’s customer, when I come into any restaurant, I expect peace and a functional environment to dine into. Which shouldn’t be too much to ask. I over heard the manager Kristy, telling an employee that she “feels bad” for them, asking them why do they “feel so weak” and that she will “pray” for them! Never should anything like that come out of a manager mouth towards anyone unless it is okayed regarding religion. The young lady said she just asked her a simple question, which from my understanding was work related regarding her understanding/ comprehension if you will. I took it upon myself and pulled the young lady aside and talked with her and she stated this isn’t their first encounter. With this young lady, there has been an abuse of power with this same manager on more than one occasion in which she stated. And she said she has mentioned it on numerous occasions. So I am taking it upon myself to speak up for this young lady! Do better Wendy’s!!! I told the young lady she needs to report everything if she hasn’t already. This is unacceptable! I’ve never had any problems with this young lady as many times as I have come here. But management needs...
