DO NOT GO HERE! Go to Burrachos across the street.
The only thing that kept me coming back to this Chipotle 3 sometimes 4 times a week was the convenience of the drive thru pick up line. I like to take my dog for car rides and the employees like to say hi and sometimes give him some pets or little cup of steak or chicken as a treat which I really appreciated. The downside to using the drive thru is that you have to order through the app which doesn’t have side options for every ingredient in your bowl. So I order my bowl the same way Everytime I go and then when I arrive I asked for some shredded cheese on the side so it doesn’t melt in my bowl on the drive back home. This has never been questioned or been an issue for any of the workers until today. I sat in the drive thru waiting ungreeted for ~10 minutes and when I was finally talked to 4 mins after my scheduled pick up time I was handed my food and when I asked for a side of a shredded cheese I was told I would have to come inside to pay for it. I questioned why it’s never been a problem before and it comes included in the bowl. There is never a charge for putting shredded cheese on a bowl and this gentleman who I believe was the manager said he had to do this because “it would throw off their inventory” because I didn’t order it through the app which doesn’t have an option for the cheese on the side. I explained this and was told I’d have to come inside and pay so I left.
I will be making the switch finally to burrachos because it’s cheaper, cleaner, and the same quality of food, just without the convenience of the drive thru which apparently at chipotle just screws you over.
If I asked for the shredded cheese on the side by ordering inside there wouldn’t be a charge or an argument it would’ve been put in a cup and in my...
Read moreBeing from the twin cities I was so excited to see chipotle was coming to La Crosse only to be very disappointed.
The gentleman who started our order was on his second day. He was a rock star. Very friendly. My wife ordered the Paleo bowl they didn't know what that was.. No big deal we had the ingredients from the website. They got it started only for us to find out one of the main component was out. The fajita vegetables. Without these the bowl is severely lacking. Pork, plain lettuce, guac, with some salsa. Very disappointing. From what I read in the reviews this is an on going issue.
I ordered a brisket burrito and I thought the brisket was tasty. I ordered with queso on it which I didn't enjoy. A personal opinion. The person rolling the burrito rolled it sideways so I was given just a ball-ito instead of a burrito. I unwrapped and rerolled it properly.
We ordered some chips. We brought them back because they were stale and requested a new bag. Some one from back yelled that they are not and "that's just how they are fried" having been to chipotle many times... No, that's not how they're supposed to be. I'm guessing with her tone that they get this complaint quite often. We kept our original bag assuming we were just going to get another stale bag.
To be fair only about half the chips were stale. As if they mixed old ones in with the new ones.
Other people were also bringing their chips back so it wasn't just us.
30 dollars later for a bowl of lettuce , ball-ito, and half stale chips... We wished we had just went to taco bell for 10 dollars.
We will not be returning. I hope corporate comes and shows them how it's supposed to be. It really tarnished chipotle for me.
2 stars for the friendly new guy and the brisket...
Read moreI have been coming to this location for a long time and I have never had any issues...until today. And admittedly my issues are "relatively" minor but combined with the manager's responses and words have infuriated me.
I came in a bit before 6pm to get food for two people, myself and my father who was on the phone telling me what he wanted. I got his order first and when I was done telling them what he wanted I was about to get started on my order when the employees behind the counter completely ignored me and pretty much forced me to get back in line to get my food. That was issue number one, and if it had been just that, I'd have been annoyed but I would have left it at that. But then they charged me for something I didn't even get and so I decided to talk to the manager. I even waited for him to finish working in the drive thru area to address my issues.
The manager I talked to, Regan, stayed behind the counter and was completely dismissive of my issues, calling it a simple mistake and offered me a refund for the overcharge. When I mentioned that I used to run kitchens of my own and that I didn't see ignoring customers as a simple mistake, he made a sarcastic comment about "Oh I'm sure they never made mistakes". No apologies, no empathy, just a "Well, mistakes happen. Get over it." sort of attitude towards a formerly loyal customer, who also happens to review restaurants and has worked in the industry for nearly a decade.
Needless to say, I am not amused and if this the kind of service I can expect from here going forward, I will not be returning...
