Country Pride — Restaurant in Ontario

I went to the Country Pride in Ontario TA last Tuesday after exceptional service by a server (Mia) in New Mexico a few weeks before and once again had a great server. The food wasn’t as well cooked, but our sever had a great personality and made us great shakes :) I wish I could remember her name, but I do remember she had a Disney themed tattooed arm :) with that said…after she left another Hispanic woman with shorter hair helped the older woman who I believe was there by herself and she wasn’t a server and did not seem happy to be helping! How do I know? Because she was sure to point out to the couple behind me that she is “not paid to smile!” After he asked her to smile. She told him she is not a server and they know what they are paid to do. This was after a black gentleman came in and sat BEFORE that couple (who were white) and she served them and then another table before helping him. When I asked for a to go cup, she acted like I asked her to go handmade one and then tried to hand it to my husband and not me. When he said he didn’t ask for it and pointed to me, she tried to put it on the table and I took it from her. Never ONCE did I see that woman smile and THAT is just awful service! I loved our server, but would never go back to that particular Country Pride after dealing with that young lady knowing she feels she does not have to smile at us because she’s not paid to smile! My husband and I, as well as the couple who she said that to were SHOCKED! I have NEVER heard anything to rude from a restaurant worker in my life and I’m almost 50. She has A LOT to learn. If she is a manager, I’m just glad the rest of the team has not been tainted by her negativity. Best wishes to that staff, store and anyone else who comes across that...

This restaurant is a disaster my girl ask for a 18 oz. T bone and I think a shoe sole taste better than that She asked with grilled onions sauteed mushrooms and a baked potato,. That was a bunch of onions and mushrooms full of oil that I don't even know how to call that and the baked potato was could as the nose of a dog with the cheese hard on top And I ask for a smothered chop stake, and they serve me a burger patty all embedded of gravy like if I will not see the difference And we give the complain to the cashier and she said as excuse oh sorry but we don't have a chef the person who is cooking is the manager

We have been here several times (truck drivers) and every time we always get the same waitress. I forgot to get her name but it was an older lady with very good people skills. She told us of how she was unsure years ago of becoming a waitress and how she used to cashier and run the fudge before it was closed but from my opinion, she very good at her job. Too many people these days rush you and just don’t have the people skills needed for customer service and customers are quick to leave negative reviews but she definitely deserves the 5 minutes it took me to leave this review.
