Worst Dining Experience I ever had. First off, they did a pretty good job of pulling me into the place off their instagram post, great job marketing team.
We arrive at the location, and there is nobody in front where the greeter is supposed to be. Even though there were only about 5 table being occupied at the time. Come to find out, the greeter was hanging out at the bar, chatting up with the bartender. Eventually the bar tender saw this and gestured to the greeter that guest had arrived.
We were seated, and shortly thereafter a waiter came up, and took our drink order, and food order. It was approximately 7:30pm
The bartender has this little mobile station that he comes up to your table with, and makes your drink right in front of you, that was actually kinda cool.
My wife and I, enjoyed our drinks, and had a great conversation, when we realized we were about 45 minutes in, and we had not received any food yet. Mind you, all we ordered was a plate of shrimp, and the wife had an order for fish. Not exactly meals that tend to take a long time. So we order another drink as we wait for our meals, which no doubt, will be arriving shortly.
9:00pm arrives, but no food has arrived. Not a piece of bread, not a tortilla not a damn thing. Then I realized, nobody there has gotten any food. It doesn't even smell like food. How the heck am I in a restaurant and it doesn't even smell like food? I didn't even bother to ask any questions at that point. The ridiculousness of the entire situation was beyond my comprehension, so I just paid our tab for the drinks and got out of there, and grabbed burgers from Bakers instead.
The odd thing was the inordinate amount of time the employees spend just sitting down and just chilling at the bar. I've never seen this at a restaurant before, it looked like there was no manager around, and it was everybody's first day.
I would encourage you to go to any other restaurant in the area, that is not this one. There are plenty of options and all of them are better, including buying snacks at the gas station.
In most cases, I actively root for businesses to do well and thrive. However I will be actively rooting for this establishment to fail miserably.
Nobody even had the decency to apologize for the long wait, lack of food, or anything of that nature. If you do decide to venture here for whatever reason, I do hope you have a better experience then I did. However judging from a ton of reviews, I wish I would've read before hand, my experience was nowhere close to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe visited Culichi Town in Ontario on a busy Saturday night during Valentineās Day weekend, so we expected a wait time of about 30 minutes, which was reasonable. However, the service left a lot to be desired.
I ordered the 14-ounce steak, and my wife got oysters and sushi. My steak arrived much earlier than her food, which wasnāt a big deal, but the real issue was that it came without silverware. I had to ask for it three times, yet it was never brought to my table. After waiting about 15 minutes, I finally went up front to request silverware myself and asked if they could reheat my steak. At that point, I didnāt care if it ended up overcookedāI just wanted it hot.
A manager came over, apologized, and went above and beyond to make things right. Her professionalism and attentiveness are the only reasons this review is four stars instead of two. She ensured we were taken care of, which I truly appreciated.
As for the food, the steak was just okay, but my wife really enjoyed her sushi. The drinks were fantastic. The live music was a nice touch, but the musicians only played one or two songs on stage; the rest of the time, they were performing at the bar in the back. This was disappointing because part of the appeal of live music is actually getting to see the performance, but for most of the night, only the drummer was visible from our seats. It would be much better if they stayed on stage throughout the night.
Despite the service hiccups, the overall vibe of the restaurant was enjoyable. Would I recommend it? Iām honestly not sure. It has its highlights, but there were enough issues to make...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place was HORRIBLE!!!!!!! Made a reservation for Friday night to celebrate my moms birthday, the manager Erica was super friendly, nice, and amazing when making the reservation. When getting there the server looked stress out already and was trying to make us order stuff we didn't want! I was ordering we orders of fries and she kept trying to bring us 3 then kept on pushing alcohol on me when I had already mentioned to her that I didn't drink( I believe this was to get our check to be high since they automatically add 18% tip). This mad me very uncomfortable. After allllll of our plates FINALLY came out since it took them 15 mins to get EVERYTHING out getting out tortillas, lime, onions, ect was the WORST the runner was RUDE TO MY MOM! When it was HER birthday we were there for. We then asked to speak to a manager when she came to us she herself was RUDE saying that it wasn't the runners fault which we never said it was all we needed for her to understand was that he was RUDE not that there might habe been a misunderstanding or miscommunication between the workers. The food was NOT good and like i had mentioned it had taken long to receive(it wasn't busy at ALL for a Friday night there was only 2 other big tables and 3 small ones NOT busy) i paid for them to sing to her and give her the whole show when they did it was sooooo BAD they TRICKED her NOT once BUT twice and didnt even give her the show she DESERVED with the sparklers. Will never go again and don't do it either WASTE OF TIME, ENERGY, AND...
