I went to the facility at 4403 E. Mills Circle Ontario, CA 91764 on 2/28/22... Mya was the best thing and turnt my entire experience around. However, you all’s self-survey on the device at the table is VERY MISLEADING and CAUSED ME to leave an INACCURATE review. Apparently the review is SOLELY based on the SERVER and NOT of the entire visit, even though you ask SPECIFIC questions about the VISIT AND THE.
We walked in and was told there was a 5-10 min wait... we waited... then were escorted to the very first table, smack dab in the front by the hostess... we declined and she laughed... yea I would have thought it would be funny as well... as no one was sitting in the other 5 tables surrounding... so we stood.. we stood and we stood... right there in the walkway, an entire 15 minutes with our drinks in our hands filled to the top! As we just got it from the bar... then, 2 sets of couples who came in after us, where directed to decent... meanwhile all the hostess in the front huddle to try and figure out where they can sit 2 ppl, sadly. One girl says, ‘well, u can ask one of the guests to give up their tables.’ I really couldn’t believe we were standing in the middle of the walk way by hostess, dine- in customers and bussers... which is where our table was. This is literally a heavy traffic location.... our beverages that we previously paid for at the bar starts to tip over the rim. . ok, so now I ask for a manager, walk to the takeout section and sit my drinks down. . Manager Cyn comes and hostess tells me that she can sit us in a booth in the back of the restaurant. Ok cool, what do you know... all of the servers are BLACK! Fine by me.. now that I think about it, I will NEVER GO back to this specific restaurant location. . . We sit down and order, I then realize I have a 20 minute old drink and no straw. I left it at the counter I sat it on after holding it for 15 minutes. . Mya comes back and checks on us in a reasonable time and she gave me a straw. Ok cool, food comes out, salad was great as per usual. The fried lasagna was old or tasted old. Cyn comes out, I explain the situation and assured her we will still remain and that Myas service was the only thing keeping us here. . . we are business owners and come to Olive Garden frequently when we aren’t conducting business but this experience left a bed taste in my mouth from how training is managed to The servers/hostesses in the front providing the training appear to be inapt apprentices filling the...
Read moreThere was a relatively short wait time to be seated at our table. Unfortunately once we were seated we waited for over half an hour to be greeted by any server. Our server poor thing had to take our table which was out of her section of course causing her to be busier than she had to be. Apparently we were seated at a table which was in a section with no server. After waiting for 20 minutes my father waived the hostess down to ask if we could have a server. We waited another ten minutes before the server said she was going to get us started and our actual server would be right over. We then patiently waited for another 10 minutes at which point I spoke to the manager to figure out how we could get service to our table. He immediately tried to offer some type of discount. I denied the discount and said I just want some service. Finally the server came with our drinks and said she would be taking care of us for the rest of our dinner service. I do not remember her name but as a server she did great and helped us out. The manager never came back over to the table to check on us nor did he help the server as I'm sure she was busy as we were most definitely out of her section. I would rather have waited for a table that would have had a server then to have waited at a table wondering if and who was going to serve us. I did not speak to the manager again as when I was standing next to him to pay our bill at the to go counter because our server had not come back to collect payment for a significant amount of time he did not acknowledge me again to see how our dinner service was. The to go counter employee was extremely pleasant and genuinely felt bad for how our dinner service was as my wife explained what happened. My wife wanted to have them sing happy birthday to me as it was my birthday dinner. My kids would have gotten a kick out of it. All in all I found myself more annoyed than satisfied with how our dinner service turned out. The food was great and the server was helpful. The manager with the red shirt needs to understand that discounts aren't always the way to go when someone is more than willing to pay for what they received. We wanted to make sure that we mattered in that moment and to be honest I just worked a 10 hour shift and wanted to eat quickly and go home and relax. While the service was good up until I ran out to my car(in less than 5 minutes, or less than the time it would have taken to go to the restroom)to get some meds I needed to take. I had clearly left my phone, wallet, and food ON the table and hadn't paid the bill yet because I was STILL eating. When I got back to my table, they were clearing my food and the busboy had my wallet and phone in his hand!!! I was like what are you doing???!!! A manager was also standing there and I looked at her in disbelief and she rudely said," If you leave the table EVEN TO GO TO THE BATHROOM, you MUST tell the waiter"!! I said that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard!! So you're telling me that everytime someone has to go to the restroom, you are required to TELL THE WAITER????!!! She said YES!! I said then you better put up a sign for people to know that because that is UNHEARD of!! So I said the fact that I left my wallet, cellphone, and hadn't yet paid the bill didn't give you an idea that I hadn't left the table for good and she said NO!! It was apparent she was putting the blame on me and she was very condescending!! I said I wasnt done eating so she said we'll remake your food(acting like she's doing me a big favor but no kidding, of course you will because I still would have had to pay the bill for the food I had ordered but not yet finished consuming!!!) It was UNBELIEVABLE!! So I told her( SHETITIA EDMOND)that I wanted her name and I couldn't understand it so I asked her to give me a card and she went in the back to get it but then never came back out. Instead another manager(EDWIN HERNANDEZ)came out and asked what is the problem? I went through the whole thing and told him that I've never heard of having to tell a waiter that you're going to the restroom or your food will be gone. He just said, ok so you got your food remade and what else do you want? I said I want an apology and her name and his name as well. Nothing( not a desert or a discount, NOTHING but making me feel like an idiot) was offered for ruining my whole experience and for having to wait for them to remake my food.
