3D’s Jamaican International Cuisine — Restaurant in Orange

Flavors on point, portion too small. I usually think eating out is a splurge or appropriate price because someone else is cooking my meal & cleaning pots etc...I was surprised at my 2 small "snack box" - 1 of which had barely any cabbage- which is cheap still on wholesale & a patty came to $31. I Checked on Uber & Grubhub & they only price lunch & dinner sizes the site their menu linked to from maps. I got over charged on the Jerk Chicken & Curry Shrimp & patty by $$$ comparing what she told me each cost to what they charge online. I wouldn't review over a few dollars, it's fact my portion was small for that price. I expected to be paying less since I got tiny container. You shouldn't offer a 3rd smallest size container if you charge customer same price as medium "Lunch" entree. I feel jipped. On the counter there are 3 sizes to show customers. Large, Medium, & smallest Styrofoam size. I was craving Jamaican, since I went to my favorite spot on Long Island few days ago - & wound up sharing more than I wanted to of my meal, so saw 3D 🇯🇲 driving by & saw it as a sign. I just wanted 2 snack box size containers (small) & since she had curry chicken patties, I asked for that also. I get inflation, but I paid a little more than $35 at my spot on LI (who's been cooking generations of recipes for 20 yrs there, refreshing ox tail pans hourly- popular by Jamaican locals there & everyone.) & I got 3× LARGE dinner containers at my spot including curry shrimp +2 sides, salmon +2sides & jerk chicken meals + a patty. NY is usually the rip off for value. ...

The last five times that I ordered from this place, they have cancelled my order.... even though I ordered at least 2-3 hours before they closed. I just placed another order, and they accepted it and were in the process of making it. I waited over an hour for it to be delivered, and then they (yet again) cancelled the order.

The food is good, but the fact that they keep answering the orders is beyond frustrating. If you are unable to fulfill orders HOURS before you close, maybe you should change your hours to reflect your inability to provide the services you display online.

5 stars for the food, but completely ruined by the inability to actually get the food....

I was excited to visit this restaurant and enjoy an authentic Jamaican meal but I was extremely disappointed. The rice and peas was very hard and taste like rice that was refrigerated and heated up the following day. I had to drink after eat bite because the rice would get stuck in my throat due to it not having any gravy and being beyond ridiculously dry. The oxtail…dear lord the oxtail…it was charcoal black/burnt beyond recognition, with little to no flavor. Don’t even get me started on the plantains. I didn’t realize plantains were in my plate to begin with because it was the color of the oxtails. Extremely disappointing and will...
