I was asked to update, so I’ll do it here. We’ve been here a few times, used to be a great place to grab ice cream on an evening. However recently the service has taken a huge nosedive. Went in there and the music was so loud you couldn’t even hear yourself think and the staff seemed to be a lot more interested in talking to each other than serving customers. It seemed like there was only one girl actually working and she was handling all the orders while three other employees just stood in the back and talked in a huddle. Most recently we ordered two 4 scoop samplers (since they didn’t have our regular order of a malt on the online order menu), and only one arrived. We confirmed with the delivery company that there was no mistake on the drivers part, the staff at Handel’s simply didn’t read the order. Thankfully the delivery company refunded that part of the order. The ice cream here is fine, though the recent flavors have left a lot to be desired compared to what they had a year ago.

All in all, this location is a joke and really needs to consider cleaning house and starting fresh with some employees that...

What are you doing with that Baskin Robbins cone? smacks cone out of your hand, straight to the floor, into a melty puddle of sadness What you need is a nice portion of ice cream with great flavor, amazing consistency, and without having to pay a pretty penny.

Their motto is "We never skimp". And skimp they do not (whether that be quantity or quality). The small single flavors are actually 2.5 scoops, double flavors are 3.5 scoops. My wife and I shared Oree Dough and the Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownie, both of which were delicious and highly recommended. And because NOBODY wants to lose any of that deliciousness to the floor, we were given a cup/lid to ensure that we could enjoy all of our Handel's Homemade ice cream as we ate it under the sun.

The one thing I was a little cautious about was the fact that none of the employees were wearing gloves while serving the ice cream. Regardless of the current COVID climate, I think it's just good practice to serve ice cream...
