Came here because I kept getting adds for their peach ice cream and I was so excited to try it. Didnt realize it was a weird wait to be seated table service place. We were hungry so decided to order some food. After reading other reviews about how most of the menu items were a miss we figured we'd be safe with chicken strips and fries. 3 small chicken tenders (90% bredding) with one completely inedible because of the weird texture and some excessively salty undercooked fries was 9.99. The bbq sauce is SO smokey and the fry sauce is essentially mayo with pink food coloring. The entire basket was basically fries and we couldn't even eat half because they were SO salty. There was only 2 waiters in our entire section so by the time she came to check on us we were finished. We ordered 2 scoops of ice cream to go (there isnt a price for just a scoop of ice cream anywhere on the menu for some reason?). She brought us our ice cream and tab to pay at the front and it was over $30!! for chicken strips and ice cream!! No drinks, just frozen sysco chicken tenders and salty fries! the oce cream was $4.00 per scoop) when we got home and tried the ice cream it was sub par,the peach was not good it tasted so artificial and nothing like peach, my dog wouldn't even try it. The cookies and cream was just plain vanilla with oreos it had no flavor either. If you do go here skip the food, its exactly what youd get at arctic circle or DQ but you'll pay triple for it, I honestly feel the same about the ice cream. Theres so many better places to get ice cream and this place is SO overpriced. We could get fresh made chicken strips, fries, toast and slaw and a large house made iced tea from caines for less than what they asked and it would have been WAY better and we'd still have ice cream money left over. Ggo to Handels or penguin bros if you want ice cream, hell i'd rather have a strawberry milkshake from In-N-Out or a vanilla cone...
Read moreNormally, I would give this killer little spot the full ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ rating but not today...I had THE most disappointing and frustrating experience at what I ALWAYS refer to as, "THE BEST ice 🍨 cream and burger joint in the county", has now earned an exception to that exclamation. "....unless you call ahead for curbside." My girlfriend and I pulled into the parking stalls for curbside orders and called the number....assured a server would bring us our order, we sat in the lot and continued chatting....multiple songs played on the spkrs when my gf asked what was taking them so long, that it had felt like forever....40min! We called back...told our food had been done for some time and sat waiting for us to COME INSIDE to PICK UP our CURBSIDE order.....😐🤨🤔😵....but reassured our order was promptly being brought out....the fries were ordered by mgmt to be cooked anew, and 25% taken off our order cost....the food was pretty decent as usual....but the $11 COOKIE 🍪 MONSTROSITY ("Celeste's Cookie something something)....was a big melted gooey sticky swirled up mess that had been sitting out waiting for us too! For nearly 40 minutes! THAT didn't get remade and cost more than the 2 combos we got combined ...nevermind that drinks DO NOT COME WITH COMBOS....MUST ORDER SEPARATELY INCLUDING KIDS MEALS???? WEAK LEATHERBYS! WEAK....Overall...I'm bummed enough about this I'll be asking for refund...prob going back to culvers...help me change my mind and...
Read morePOSITIVES: From the multiple times I've been here, I've been very satisfied with the quality of service, food and even the care/cleanliness in the restaurant. I usually get Celeste's Cookie Concoction (an Oreo lover's dream!), but this time I got Grandma Grace's Sundae. When I say the portions are humongous, I mean you better say a prayer that Granny Gracie doesn't die of type 2 diabetes. The rest of the food that I sampled included their fries, chicken, Avocado BLT, and bacon burger. Though just a step above your typical fried cafe food, each of them were well-prepped, tasty, fresh and hot.
Something else worth mentioning: our server (Reese?) was wonderful. Due to my wife's nut allergy, he warned us that the dessert could take upwards of 20 minutes to bring it out to us because they'd need to prepare it in the back to avoid contamination. They brought it out to us within 15 minutes. I was also very pleased with the service to our rather rambunctious family group.
NEGATIVES: the bathroom was a bit gross and the sinks were rather funky for hand washing. I feel the price is pretty high considering the meager quantity we received for our meals. But let's be honest, the reason you come to this creamery isn't for the fried goods... But for the epic desserts. THOSE portions match the price for the handiwork and amazing care they put into such...
