This was truly the greatest disappointment of my life. I never write reviews, but this terrible experience merits it. Mind you, I was SO excited to try The Yard and fully prepared to become obsessed and spend $200 slowly trying everything on the menu. That dream has since died. Both times we came by they were out of a LOT of ingredients. We ordered the Brookie Batter pint (they were out of brownies; they replaced the brownie with another scoop of cookie dough, but gave us the wrong flavor). But the actual milkshake was so disgusting that we ended up throwing away the entire thing. It tasted like diesel fuel smells. I can’t imagine what went into it to cause that, but my husband and I both thought the exact same thing when we tried it. The cookie on top tasted like a Walmart bakery cookie that had sat out on the counter for a week and dried out. The cookie dough was sub-par. Really none of it was good except the chocolate chips rolled around the outside. Other reviews talk about amazing customer service, perks, and freebies—that was not the case for our visit. If heaven was an ice cream shop that made Disneyland-esk shakes and it was 10 feet from parking, it would be called The Yard. I think I heard angel singing when I walked through the door to see Etsy-like ice cream creations that are as fun to look at as they are to eat. This is the artificial intelligence of 31 flavors. Absolutely anything you can possibly imagine. These guys will create into a fantastically tasting ice cream creation.

. The owner Ben is a cool dude that is as big as he is friendly. Blake was incredibly helpful to me while he held the door open. Preston came up. Introduced himself and helped me pick some flavors to put into my own custom shake that was gluten friendly.

This is amazing ice cream made from wholesome ingredients, happy cows, and professionals in tried and true methods that blend classic flavors Into new favorites. This is the best ice cream ive had in Utah.
