Osaka Japan — Restaurant in Orem

Have been going here for so many years, probably since I was 6. I loved this place because the food tasted amazing and was so fresh but maybe a month ago or so they started renovating and I think recently they just reopened again. The owners/workers look different so I think they changed owners. I didn’t think much of it but when I tried the food I wanted to cry. It didn’t taste the same as before, I couldn’t believe the drastic change. Like how do you change the flavor of noodles? Is that even possible? The chicken didn’t even have any flavor. It was so dry and tasted burnt even though it wasn’t burnt. I’m no food expert but I saw that they were cooking/heating the noodles in the same place they use to cook raw meat like the chicken? Like they were right next to each other? Isn’t that cross contamination? Luckily I didn’t get any food poisoning but still. I really miss the old original food they would make. I also miss the owners. The food now doesn’t even taste fresh it’s like they changed the recipe somehow or just made it worse somehow. Doesn’t taste authentic. Tastes...

BEWARE! I was watching the cook handle the chicken on the grill. He had just spread out a few pounds of raw chicken to cook, moving it around the grill with his 2 big spatulas when he immediately put them in the pile of cooked chicken on the grill and started to lift it to my rice. I stopped him and told him what he had done. He denied it, even though I watched him do it. The lady came over and told me they would cook me new chicken but after I watched the cook push the comtaminated chicken to the side of the grill, ready for the next customer, I walked away. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. I had the chicken and shrimp special, which had a decent portion size, but the taste was terrible. The woman who took my order was really short with me, rude, and seemed irritated that I was taking a while to decide on my order. I usually like Japanese food, but the quality was just not that good. The price isn’t too bad, so I guess you get what you pay for. The lady was also giving out samples without wearing gloves, watching her phone behind the counter while we were waiting for our food.
