CHAT CHAT BOBA Inside Food Court — Restaurant in Orem

Run by teenagers ‘serving’ you in between hanging out with their friends and attitude when you ask for a new drink. When we arrived there was a group of boys laughing and talking to the girls working behind the counter. Luckily we looked at the menu for a while but it took at least a couple minutes for them to even notice us then several more for them to leave and let us order. I asked what was in the Mangonada drink (as there was no description on the picture) and was told “it’s just like a mango shake with chamoy”. So I ordered it. When I got the drink, it also came with Tajin which, had I known when I ASKED I wouldn’t have ordered it. When I asked her to remake the drink because I don’t like tajin, she said “oh I thought I said tajin 🙂” I PAYED for the remade drink even though I was expecting her to remake it without charging me. And when I received the new drink this was on the sticker on the cup; “NO TAJIN!!” In all caps and with exclamation points. Cute right? Such good customer service! While we were finishing our drinks the girls behind the counter kept laughing and making eye contact with me. Very infuriating. So as we were leaving I asked why it was written like that (in all caps and with exclamation points) and she said it was just so they’d remember. We were the only customers. Mine was the only order. I guess they just have SUPER bad memories. So I said ‘Okay well thanks’ and left without saying the many things I wanted to say. I got peach and yam smoothies for my sister and I when we’re visiting Utah. I personally love fruit jellies (nata de coco) so I had that as my add on. The drinks were not blended with real fruits. Was a little disappointed with the flavors, but it was still a good cold beverage in a hot weather.

Ps. I bought the drinks 2 separate times within 5 minutes interval. First time, I inserted my card and selected electronic receipt (typed in my email). Second time, the cashier made me insert my card twice because it didn’t show up the options of receipts when I first inserted my card. I’m not sure if any payment confirmation show up after the first time. It just straightaway gave me a paper receipt after the 2nd time I inserted my card. I walked in to the mall and saw this place and thought a boba would be nice. Went to the counter and asked, specifically, for a coconut BOBA. The girl behind the counter asked if I wanted any “toppings”. I declined. I paid my $5 for a medium and went on my way. Upon my first sip, I realized there was no boba in it. I went back to ask and she replied, “I asked you if you wanted a topping.” Since when do boba places refer to boba as a topping and then charge you extra?! I’ll definitely NOT be giving them anymore of my money....
