Way overpriced. It looks like a nice restaurant on the outside and on the inside, and they charge like a nice sit down place, but that's where the resemblance to a nice restaurant stops.
They have you walk to the register and hand the one and only menu in the place to decide what you want.
You then pay up front, where you are asked to pay a substantial tip before you have sat down or received any service whatsoever.
Having paid such high prices (about $45 for two people), we were expecting the service and food to match. This was far from the case.
Despite being the only customers, the 8 or 9 employees were too busy flirting with each other, chatting, picking their nose, or in one case, shuffling around with a hoodie over their uniform looking confused to bother prepping the food or providing service to the table. (It honestly took us 10 minutes to realize the last one wasn't someone who'd wandered in off the street while on a bad trip.)
I'd ordered the Gnocchi al Ragu, $12, which looked and tasted exactly like gnocchi bought from Winco, drowned in canned Preggo sauce. I could make the same exact thing at home with no effort other than boiling the gnocchi and opening a can.
My wife ordered the pesto pizza, which she said was okay, but she would definitely never pay $10 for again. The problem with this is that the gnocchi was delivered about 20 minutes before we saw the guy working the pizza oven stop flirting with the two girls and START making the pizza. (Again we were the only customers there, not hard to be a little more prompt. Nothing again socializing at work when you're slow, just do it where the customers can't see you and don't let it stop you from what little work there is.)
The bruschetta appetizer was delivered after both entres. (About 45-50 minutes after sitting down.)
Maybe this was just one bad experience and we would change our minds if we went back, but after paying so much for such a horrible service, neither of us ever...
Read moreIf I could rate this 0 stars I would. I've been to this restaurant multiple times and always have friends and family there as well. Although i've never had a 100% quality costumer service experience, this time was a -10 for me. Agustina (I believe that's her name), my server, treated me and my friend rudely from the moment we walked in. I've never felt so judged by anyone. I could just feel her despise for serving us. First of all they were out of several item I was looking forward to order. My friend ordered their coxinha and it was literally all dough and no chicken. The rest of the food was okay. When it was time for us to pay, Agustina came to grab our cards and I reminded her we were doing different checks (split between guests), and she confirmed to me that's what she would do (with a cynical face on, mind I say). She handled us a literal "split" check where me and my friend were paying for half of each product. As Agustina put the chairs up not minding to check on us, I asked her politely if she could help us with the bills because they were charged wrong. My friend was paying for way more than she was supposed to because she wasn't charged for the right items. Agustina looked at me and asked if I could "Venmo" my friend because there was nothing she could do about it????? Me and my friend both work at restaurants and were extremely surprised by her attitude and treatment. She also kept telling me how "split" meant we would pay half half on the check. Split means "between guests, or payment type, and can be done at any point during service." I also wonder why she couldn't speak Portuguese to us knowing we spoke her language fluently. SHE clearly didn't understand what the word "split" means. It just looked like she was mocking us. Extremely disappointed. I forgot part of my partially untouched to go $8 dessert on the table as I was leaving bc I was so distressed by...
Read moreI've been here three times and each time the bruschetta has been absolutely heavenly. I brought my sister here specifically for the bruschetta. We got in at 11:00 a.m. and decided to have bruschetta for the appetizer and get a pizza. We were told if we wanted to get a pizza we'd have to wait 40 minutes because they just turn the oven on. They're open at 11:00 but they don't turn the oven on until 11:00 so if you want pizza at a pizza place you have to wait 40 minutes. We ordered several items after asking questions to which the server answered "I don't know" to every one of them and then just stood there looking at us. I finally asked him to go ask someone the answer to one of our questions. The first thing that came out was missing cheese. I pointed this out. They were nice enough to cook us a new one and tell us that we could keep the one that we got. Then the bruschetta came out. The bread was devoid of any moisture whatsoever. It was so rock hard it felt like it had been left out of the bag for a week. When you broke it with two hands, it would snap and crumble. I asked the server about it who then went and asked the cook. The server came back and told us that's how it's supposed to be but the cook was willing to make me another one. At this point we just left. The server was very sweet but did not know anything about anything on the menu. The first thing we were served was made wrong and the second thing we were served was inedible. Then we were told that is how it was suppoed to be. It was not the last three times I've been in. This is extremely disappointing because I haven't been able to find anywhere else around here that makes bruschetta as good as the first three times I ate here. Now I don't know if...
