Location location location, and perhaps the donuts is all this place has going for it! We stumbled into this Cafe after walking around Lake Eola Park since it was convenient. However, we wished we hadn't! We figured since they seemed to have steady clientele that this place must have something going for it, but how wrong was I to think that. Apparently, the patrons here lack in tastebuds and enjoy feeling like they're in a nightclub first thing in the morning. (As they keep their music pumping loud) and don't care about decent service. The whole experience was awful! From the start, it wasn't worth waiting in line. And if we didn't need to use the loo, I would have just left. Let's just put it this way, it was the most expensive restroom pit stop we'd ever made. I might as well lit my money on fire. It's clear they don't give a care about retaining customers. The cashier didn't even acknowledge me in front of him. He literally just took my order by saying as little as possible and pointed to the debt machine prompting me to pay. He obviously just wanted me to pay as fast as possible and go. This was NOT a good first impression to get even before collecting my drinks. He didn't even ask if I wanted my drinks for here or to go. When I looked around the cafe, I could see other people around me drinking coffees from mugs. I wondered how that was possible, considering he didn't even give me the choice. After paying, I stepped aside, waiting, and just by looking at my black Americano coffee, I could see it was very weak. So I asked the barista who made it how many shots of expresso he put into my large size, and he said 2. Well, having worked in a cafe with decent coffee, I know that a large should at least have 3 shots if not 4, depending on how generous the Cafe is or not. Even Starbucks puts more than 2 shots in their large Americano and makes a more satisfying drink. Worst of all was when taking a sip realizing I had just thrown away $14 U.S as my husband didn't even want to stomach it. We ended up dumping it outside as it was literally bitter tasting and left a nasty after taste in our mouths. Not even the cream could fix that problem. You know when you've had hotel coffee that tastes better than this, something is wrong, and everyone knows that's very low-grade quality coffee. So If you crave the true taste of coffee and don't want water flavored varsal, a decent friendly environment that cares about your business, then take your money elsewhere and...

I really love this coffee shop—it’s one of my favorite places to study, and the drinks are consistently great. That said, I had a pretty uncomfortable experience that I want to share—not as a bad review, but as something I hope can lead to more understanding in the future.

When I walked in, my water bottle had accidentally opened in my bag, soaking my iPads and AirPods Max—items that are essential to me as a grad student. In a panic, I quickly pulled everything out and, acting out of desperation, dumped about 6oz of water into the trash can to try and save my electronics. Two staff members saw and stared at me, and one from across the room, in front of everyone, asked in a very condescending tone, “Did you dump water in the trash?” I apologized immediately and explained the situation—that I was trying to save my devices and didn’t know what else to do in the moment. He replied, “That’s what the bathroom sink is for.”

I understood his point and apologized again, but I felt really embarrassed and uncomfortable with the way it was handled. He did offer me a towel afterward, which I appreciated, but the whole exchange made me feel singled out and judged when I was clearly panicking.

I get that what I did wasn’t ideal, but I think some empathy in moments like this could go a long way. You don’t see water pouring out of someone’s bag every day—it was clearly an accident, and I was genuinely trying to resolve it quickly.

Again, I love this place and will probably be back, but I left that day feeling a bit embarrassed. I hope in the future the staff can respond to situations like this with a bit more kindness and...

I was so excited to try this place when I first found out about it! Once, I read the reviews and ratings I was so hyped to try which is why I was so disappointed. I love to try new spots however, as soon as I walked in I could tell that the hospitality and the quality of customer service wasn’t there. Nobody cared to greet those or said hi to anyone who walked in (not even a smile), the staff were so inattentive and unfriendly/unbothered, the lax and rude attitude really turned me off more than anything. Another note. I assume it’s part of the vibe/atmosphere , but also the smell was a little off putting. The lattes honestly were okay but still not the best. Overall, I just want to say that when people spend their money and more than that want to support others/their business it shouldn’t be taken for granted and I feel like that’s what people have lost touch with and forget. Nobody is obligated to support anything unless they want to. A simple hi, good attitude, and respect goes a long way, and helps to retain and build your customer base/trust in your company. I will not go back however, I really hope this is a learning opportunity and a reminder to everyone to just be a solid, kind, respectful, genuine, and humble human being ( it doesn’t take a lot). It goes a VERY long way more than people realize and you never know who it will help, and who it will turn away (if you choose not treat others that way). Stay...

After reading the reviews, I was anxious to give this shop a try. Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed. First impressions: great location, about a block from Lake Eola. Parking was easy on surrounding streets. The actual store front was nothing special. The large windows did give a nice view of the interior, otherwise I never would have known it was a coffee shop. I did like the interior design, wood and concrete with clean vibes. Once inside, I wanted to order the waffle and a pour over, but both are no longer available. I settled for the “one & one” which I was told was a latte and macchiato. I also ordered an avocado toast. The barista was friendly, but she seemed new and didn’t know the answers to my questions about the menu and had to keep asking the other barista for help. My order was delivered to my table within a few minutes. I ended up with a latte and espresso, both were way too fruity for my taste. If you like fruity espresso, then you will love it. A bit too strong for me. The avocado toast was good, very fresh ingredients. The toast was slightly grainy and topped with smashed avocado, pickled red onions, sliced radishes, cherry tomatoes, micro greens and feta. Overall, 3.5 stars. Bring back the pour over and waffle please.
