Employees oversell tickets even though they know there are already too many people on the course.

We stated that we were visiting from out of state and limited on time.

(Employee one)

"Once you've paid, if you decide the course is too full and don't want to play, just come back, and we will give you a full refund."

We decided to not play and walked back around and talked to a different employee.

(Employee number two)

" Unfortunately, I can't refund you the money; that's something only my manager can do, and if you come back in 30 minutes, he can take care of that."

So, we waited until 9:30 pm and came back and talked to the manager.

Manager said "we don't give any refunds"

I explained that Employee 1 and 2 both told me and my family that we could expect a full refund. The manager turns to both employees and asked them if they said that, and they both (LIED) a number of times and said, "We never said that," so then the manager says his employees never said that and said that " they don't offer refunds but that we are welcome to come back and play another time" I explained that we lived 6 states away and had other prior engagements that evening. And that still didn't matter. We weren't getting our money back.

I'm sure the management will write back some snappy, stupid response about "no refunds and how I'm making this up.

But all I have to say is how many people take this much time and detail to write a Google review.🤣 It's honestly not about the money; it's about honesty and common decency, which clearly not everyone has at the boardwalk.

Was visiting from Michigan and my brother brought me and my family here to play some mini golf. We thought is was a great idea and after dropping over $100 on 7 of us to play we wanted to take our kids to the restroom. The restrooms were closed but the workers at the ticket booth said we could go to the movie theater and use theirs. We were told they would remember us and we could reenter through the exit. On the way back in we were confronted by the “manager” Lulu. She started yelling at us saying we had to go through the entrance. When my brother tried explaining that we were told my the employees it was ok to reenter that way, she continued to yell at us saying she didn’t care what the employees said. When I tried to explain to her what was going on, she started screaming at us that if we didn’t like it she would call security. This made my 6 year old start crying. I went to the ticket booth asking for the manager and Lulu came yelling that she was the manager and if I didn’t calm down she would call security. She was completely disrespectful and unprofessional.

We went to guest services and was told that there wasn’t much they could do since they rent out the space to the mini gold company.

Extremely disappointed in this place. We won’t ever be back again.

UPDATE: so the GM reached out to me and apologized for the situation. He refunded us, gave us free passes and said he would talk to his employees about how our situation was handled.

I played a round here after HHN last month, around midnight. I didn't feel like dealing with the traffic, so I just randomly decided to play this with my girlfriend. Turns out, it stays open until CityWalk closes at 2AM which is awesome. It has special lighting at night, and the whole place is gorgeous. The special effects are awesome, and one even got a jump out of me on the Haunted side. I used to not really be the biggest mini golf fan, and I only did this on a whim, but I had so much fun that I came back the next day to play the sci-fi side....which also was quite awesome, and had just as many special effects.

Both sides are equally challenging, and as one who hasn't played putt-putt golf in a very long time, it was a fairly decent challenge throughout. It'd take me a lot of practice to get a good score here, but every round is easily completed. The scavenger hunt they give you at the beginning is quite fun, and all of the little limericks/riddles at the beginning of each hole are hilarious as well. All in all this place is fantastic, and I'd recommend it to anyone. Oh, and pricing is about the same as other minigolf in the area too, just don't forget to add on the...
