Good food. SHADY pricing. This is my second time here. My first time was good, which is why we came back. Advice: do not order a side dish unless it already comes with your meal. I ordered the fish tacos today, $9. Since it’s under their “small plate” category it doesn’t come with a side dish. Cool, no problem. I ordered a side of fries. The side of fries cost me $6!!!!!! Nothing fancy with the fries either. Just a regular side of fries. Lol. There is no pricing for side items on their menu, so watch out! Either our server Logan put in that price cause I ordered a “small plate” dish ( meaning his 20% tip wouldn’t be as high at the end ), OR that really is the unwritten price of a side order of fries. CRAZY. Aaaaand I tipped the server MORE than 20% because I use to be a server. I had my toddler son with me so I didn’t realize all of this till we got home. Dang it.
Also, this was the first time the server asked to keep my credit card on tab. I was confused because when I said ‘no we weren’t ordering drinks’, he persisted to say they needed a card on tab. We couldn’t order unless they had one. We had no option. Lol. My friend chimed in and said ‘they probably need it in case we walk out without paying’. She gave them her card. So as you can see, this place is THAT kind of vibe. It’s not a place to have Sunday brunch. It is however a place for college kids to get dirty drunk mid afternoon...
Read moreAbsolutely love this place. It’s no longer the tiki bar so go off of recent reviews for info til it’s changed. A great corner bar with pool tables on the first floor patio and a dart board inside. If you’ve had bad experiences at other alternative bars this is the place for you. Skater definitely welcome as well as they have a section for finger boards and plans to make a section of the bar a mini skate park. Me and my girl went and she is definitely the type to not want to be overwhelmed and this spot had the vibes to keep us there for more than a couple hours. It also had an upstairs section that was playing house/ edm genres and you could not tell from downstairs at all. The stair case is in the back corner and they have an another bar and a totally different vibe. Not sure if it’s two different bars or the same venue buts it’s cool if you like both genres of music. Very inclusive space they had anime playing on the tv’s inside as well. The bartenders are really attentive and respectful. Definitely a place I’d return to often and love...
Read moreDecent enough little tiki bar.
I didn't eat anything so I can not accurately rate the food.
Service is acceptable. It can be slow but what place isn't when it's busy.
They lose points for no draft beers, but gain a point on pint cans of PBR for 3$. Fairly reasonable. They had a DJ that clearly operated to the principle "if you can't play to the crowd, at least play it loud".
Overall it's more of a 20 something age of people. A bit more themed as a dance club, not so much as a Trader Vics.
I like th open air concept. It feels like your outside. That's definitely done right.
They also lose a point on bar stools, opting for the cheapest/uncomfortable option.
In review a good enough place to drop in, but probably not a place you're going to go out of your...
